It all comes down to methods, personality, and certifications. You deserve a nice trainer, and I view a nice trainer as: * Actively listening. This means asking questions and hearing you without jumping to respond. * Acknowledging the good things you’ve done with your dog and the hard work that you’ve put in so far. * Finding a method that works for you and your dog. * Explaining what they’re doing, why they’re doing it, and showing you how to do it. * Exercising appropriate boundaries.
