We talked with Mark about his career and the things he's learned along the way. You can see Mark's holiday show, "Holidays in the Park."

Pigeon Forge and the Great Smoky Mountains: America's Most Popular National Park

Pigeon Forge and the Great Smoky Mountains: America's Most Popular National Park

In the second episode of The Travel Agents Podcast, Brian and Will are joined by guest and friend, Tyler Kenepp. The Travel Agents detail their experience in America's most popular National Park and the increasingly popular Pigeon Forge. Stay tuned for this episode's "Interview with a local" where we speak with Leon Downey, the head of Pigeon Forge's Tourism Board. NOTE: Alum Cave to Mount Leconte is a 10.9 mi round trip, I mixed it up with a nearby trail that is considered a bit easier but longer. That trail was called Mount Leconte via Trillium Gap. We did the Alum Cave trailhead since we wanted to at least see the cool cave.
Also, Anakeesta is not in Pigeon Forge, it is also in Gatlinburg.

Episode 148 - From Cave Tours to Roller Coasters with Chris Herschend

Episode 148 - From Cave Tours to Roller Coasters with Chris Herschend

Dollywood. Silver Dollar City. The Harlem Globetrotters. You’ve heard of all of those, but you might not know about the business behind them. That’s what today’s episode is about.

Chris Herschend is a third-generation shareholder and Chairman of Missouri-based Herschend Enterprises, the largest family-owned themed attractions company in the US. Herschend properties span 26 locations and 10 states, employing over 10,000 people who collectively host over 13 million guests annually.

Today, Chris is going to talk to us about what it’s like serving his family, their board, and the family business, creative ways he has found to follow God both inside and outside the business, and the unique challenges and opportunities keeping a business “family held forever.”

    Shut The F$ck Up, Dolly!

    Shut The F$ck Up, Dolly!
Quick question. Why did it take a worldwide pandemic for us to realize that maybe we shouldn't stand over a frosted dessert, blow out BIRTHDAY candles and then serve pieces of this breathy, saliva covered treat to our family and friends? This is just one of the hard hitting, professionally researched questions that we will most likely ignore on this celebratory episode of DEAR POD!

    Summer Park Trips Recap

    Summer Park Trips Recap

This week Andrew and Eric are joined by Coaster101 founder John Stevenson. While our normal hosts have been stuck in lockdown and haven't been to any parks this summer, John's been to a bunch! So he's joining us to recap his visits to Dollywood, Kings Island, Kentucky Kingdom, and Six Flags St. Louis. We get some comparison of the parks safety procedures and crowds, and get into some ride talk (so it's not all bad).

Tell us about your park experiences this summer! Have you caught a mask in the face like John did? Email podcast@coaster101.com, or find us on social media @Coaster101.

Also be sure to subscribe to the podcast so you don't miss an episode!
