don't look back

As the old saying goes "You can change your plan, but first you've got to have a plan". Going through life, things change (duh, really Steve?) but it's the adjustments we make as we navigate - hey that rhymes! - that bring us through to land on our feet. Oh yeah, and to help us become an even better version our best badass selves.

Presented by your ol' buddy Steve here is another real life, positive message that ties into short stories about a couple of bands  you know (and have most likely have sang along to in the shower or elsewhere... but that's none of my beeswax). These two groups had to find new lead singers after they had to sadly replace their original iconic frontmen. How they did so and the story of the "new guys" is pretty cool IMHO. Hey, aren't you curious?

Adapt, balance and move forward when the time comes. Life moves on and so should we. Listen to this wonderful folktale of the "Two Frogs from Japan" in the episode "Don't Dwell". The story warns us about how expectations and our easily mistaken senses can lead us astray. Do not believe all that you see, for what we see may not always be real. 

The answer to every adversity lies in courageously moving forward with faith. When you are trying to move forward, don’t look back. You can’t move forward if your are still clinging to your past visions, ideas and experiences.

We all have things in our lives that we remember, some good and and some not so good. But, there are special things, that whenever we see, hear, smell, touch them, it jogs our memories. Like in Joshua 4:21-22 says... "In the future when your descendants ask their fathers, what do these stones mean? Tell them, Israel crossed the Jordon on dry ground." It is a lesson that involves looking back while going forward. These stones are a reminder that it's all about God and his glory and a reminder that we have a missional purpose.
