What does research into Design Thinking show?

What does research into Design Thinking show?

Lee Sankey's guest is Professor Pietro Micheli from Warwick Business School. Pietro has been studying Design Thinking since its early inception and has carried out numerous studies on companies globally. So what does academic research tell us about how companies use design thinking and its impact?

This was also an opportunity for me to debate some of my own observations and theories on the practical realities of Design Thinking. Including:

    1) That pace, data and iterative everyday business are limiting the oxygen design and Design Thinking need to be successful.
    2) That Design Thinking is on a similar journey to Agile. Although currently, a less influential one.

In addition, Pietro talks about 3 different types of business logics and how Design Thinking can be used in Brand Management to navigate the tensions between consistency and relevance.
