    Asking for Wisdom

    Asking for Wisdom

Today we are going to tackle some of the parts of James that I don't have time to address on Sunday. We are going to talk about James 1:5-7. If you want wisdom, then ask for wisdom and God will not withhold it...but don't be double minded. So today we'll talk about standing on a true foundation.

The music on the podcast is from John Nugent. John is a Chicagoland area musician who has been a real blessing to Tabor Church.

20/20 Vision for the New Year - Audio

20/20 Vision for the New Year - Audio
Today hypocrisy is accepted to be a simple reality of modern life. Sadly Christians are not exempt from being viewed as hypocritical. Hypocrisy, if not dealt with honestly, can become a serious problem. From story of woman accused of adultery in John 8:1-11, 1.Hypocrisy breaks our relationship with God.  (v.6) 2. Hypocrisy hurts people.  (v.3-5) 3. Hypocrisy undermines our witness and outreach.  (v.2) Overcoming hypocrisy, to love others like Jesus: 1. Starts with self-reflection.  (v.7) 2. Means having no condemnation for others like Jesus.                                                                                           (v.11)

Wildfire: How Divided Hearts Become Whole

Wildfire: How Divided Hearts Become Whole
Most of us desire wholeness yet we attempt to live our lives divided. We have one foot in and one foot out. Our hearts are fragmented and often confused by a whirlwind of internal and external forces. This creates turmoil, pain and angst for us and those around us. Pastor Chris Kipp teaches about this from Acts 19:11-20 and the surprising effect of revival on our divided hearts.
