We have truly lost a legend.  In memoriam of Akira Toriyama, the creator of one of the most innovative, legendary, and iconic mangas/anime, the gang discusses anime and the effect it has had on pop culture.  Rest In Power Toriyama Sensei, may we have just the slightest amount of influence that you had on the world in our lifetime.

It's a Fake Nerd Special - A Tribute to Akira Toriyama!

The incredible mangaka and character/model designer, Akira Toriyama, has sadly passed away. In light of this news, there was a desire to come together and share just how much the works of this incredible man meant to us. Fake Nerds Brandon T. McClure, Sparkz Witty, and Ben Magnet gather with their special guest, Phai Giron, to share when Toriyama's work changed their lives and what it's meant to them. There are stories of first encounters with Dragon Ball, expressions of gratitude for his contributions to ourselves, along with praise for the impact of all his creations on the global scale. Whether Dragon Ball, Chrono Trigger, Dr. Slump, or another work; Akira Toriyama has left a deep and unforgettable impact on all of us. This was a way for us to share in our love for his art and say a big thank you for everything he gave us.

For a season that can be considered transitional or a set-up for the next, Dragonball Z Season 7 has a lot of shit going on. We get two tournaments one for the world and one for the otherworld. There are also a pile of new characters to meet: Videl, Goten, Pikkon, Multiple Kai's, and even a new big bad for next season Majin Buu (not to mention bibidi and babidi). It's all very confusing but we laugh our way through it. We are so close to the end, but in true Dragonball fashion we are taking our time getting there.
