Tech support experiments with garlic and basil flavored vodka. They discuss Mojitos and Blood Marys. Bill gets called out on using vocabulary correctly.... and is vindicated. Bill taste still hasn't returned. Bill and Darrell again protest the foot band. They remind themselves and others that Lone Elm will release 2 new bottles. They talk about Drunk Chicken cigar and how they are entering more shops. They enjoy an Espinosa Habano with some El Dorado 12 Year rum. Darrell clarifies the way he discusses 'what you are'. He doesn't like saying things like 'he's Italian' when he's definitely American.
A new cigar is announced by Desiree 'Des' Silver on the show. The Homicidal Hen is the new facing out for Drunk Chicken Cigars. It has not been released yet, but we smoked 2 of them and talk to Des about Drunk Chicken now and future. Look for Drunk Chicken's new Ambassador Eric Story. Find him on Instagram as 'Ambassador DDC' or Facebook under Eric Story. We paired this cigar with a mild to medium bourbon, Woodford Reserve. Our feeling is that this is a bridge between the Mother Clucker and the DCO. Pick one up when available, you won't regret it.

The guys smoke the Drunk Chicken Longsdale and pair it with D'Usse cognac. The cold draw has the scent of rose on wrapper. Very unique. The longsdale is just as smoky as the gordo original. Talk a bit about our gardens. Talk about how WW2 is the perfect war for video games. COVID restriction relaxation increasing cases. Not tragic. Just gonna happen, but Vitamin D may help with the disease. Food supply chain discussions. What we’ve heard about back to school plans. The biological advantage of forgetting. The sweet fruity flavor of the cognac and how surprisingly good it is.
Micallef Torcedores. 6 X 52 Sq press
3 year old San Andrés Sumatra wrapper, 3 year old Honduran binder, mixture of Nicaraguan, Dominican, and Peruvian filler. Retails for $6 in Texas. We both love this cigar. The flavor is woody and leathery with a hint of spice. Mild to medium strength. Triple capped.
Woodford Reserve Malt Whiskey
This is a 51% malted barley, 47% corn, 2% rye mashbill. It comes off a bit stronger than a typical 90 proof whiskey. The burn is a little less when warm. The bready flavor is very nice and the pros find dark chocolate and caramel coated nuts dried out with a dusting of cocoa powder and brown spice. A fruit medley brightens a trace of toasted coconut and rich, bright oak character. That wasn’t our take. Darrell and Bill tasted the oak, vanilla, and bread.
We talk about taxes and how they’re really getting expensive for cigars. That it will probably drive bootlegging just like cigarettes did. Possible futures of tobacco and pot growing in America. We announce our new weekly giveaway with Drunk Chicken Cigars. Darrell recounts a story of Al Micallef at the 2nd Annual Cigar and Spirits Magazine event. We again talk about how the zebra muscle problem could just be solved with 1 good recipe and the mechanically separated chicken ingredient.

Drunk Chicken – Mother Clucker 58 x 6”.
Nicaraguan Wrapper, Ecuadorian Binder, Ecuadorian Filler. A woody and aromatic spice. We enjoyed this cigar very much. Although Drunk Chicken lists the cigar as a medium body but we thought it was very smooth and more on the mild side. It has a smooth retro hale and was an instant favorite of ours.
Elijah Craig Small Batch Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey.
Heaven Hill Distillery product. 94 proof. Mashbill of: Corn, malted barley, rye and wheat in a sour mash but % are not published. #3 barrel char. On the NOSE notes of vanilla bean, sweet fruit, and fresh mint. TASTEs woody with accents of spice, smoke, and nutmeg. It FINISHes Long, sweet, and slightly toasty
More: They talk a little more about prepping. They discuss how they've acclimated to working from home. Darrell mentions the hashtag #poopatwork. Bill talks about how much he likes mowing even though before mowing he doesn't want to start.
