    Dying Fetus - John Gallagher

In the realm of extreme music, where brutality and technical prowess collide, few bands have left as indelible a mark as Dying Fetus. Formed in 1991 during the zenith of the death metal explosion, this American trio has matured into one of the premier acts in the global death metal and grindcore scenes. Known for their relentless sonic assault, innovative song structures, and thought-provoking lyrics, Dying Fetus has become synonymous with uncompromising death metal excellence.

The band was originally founded in Maryland by guitarist and vocalist John Gallagher, along with guitarist Nick Speleos and drummer Jason Netherton. Dying Fetus quickly gained recognition for their brutal live performances and ferocious musicality. Their early years were marked by a series of demos, culminating in their 1995 debut album, "Infatuation with Malevolence." This release showcased their blend of technical virtuosity and savage aggression, setting the stage for what would become a storied career.

As the band evolved, they solidified their lineup with John Gallagher as the sole remaining founding member, joined by musicians who would contribute significantly to the band's signature sound. The lineup changes didn't deter their musical progression; instead, they pushed forward, refining their craft with each release.

Dying Fetus' discography is a testament to their commitment to musical excellence. Albums like "Purification Through Violence" (1996), "Killing On Adrenaline" (1998), and "Destroy The Opposition" (2001) firmly established the band as a force to be reckoned with in the death metal world. These records showcased their technical proficiency and songwriting prowess, earning them a devoted fan base.

The band's lyrical content, while often unflinchingly brutal, delves into sociopolitical themes, reflecting a desire to provoke thought and discussion. This intellectual approach sets Dying Fetus apart, as their music engages both the visceral and the cerebral aspects of the listener's experience.

In 2003, Dying Fetus released "Stop At Nothing," a record that further solidified their status as death metal giants. This album featured crushing riffs, intricate drum work, and visceral vocals, garnering critical acclaim and expanding their global fan base.

"War Of Attrition" (2007), "Descend Into Depravity" (2009), and "Reign Supreme" (2012) continued the band's tradition of delivering punishing death metal with technical finesse. Each album showcased their evolution as musicians and songwriters, drawing in new listeners while satisfying long-time fans.

Their 2017 release, "Wrong One to Fuck With," was hailed as a "menacing motherfucker" by Metal Injecti

In the shadowy depths of extreme music, few bands embody the essence of pure, unadulterated darkness quite like Incantation. Formed in 1989 by the formidable force of John McEntee (guitar, vocals), the band has carved a nightmarish path through the realms of death metal, establishing themselves as pioneers of the genre. With relentless brutality, haunting atmospheres, and lyrics that delve into the macabre, Incantation has become a revered name among death metal aficionados.

Incantation's origins can be traced to the fertile death metal scene of Pennsylvania, where they emerged alongside other iconic bands like Immolation and Mortician. From their early days, the band's mission was clear: to create the most uncompromising and darkly atmospheric death metal possible. With influences ranging from Morbid Angel to Autopsy, they set out to craft a sound that was unrelenting in its intensity.

Their debut album, "Onward to Golgotha," released in 1992, was a revelation in the death metal underground. It showcased their mastery of churning, guttural riffs, thunderous drumming, and McEntee's demonic growls. The album's relentless assault and eerie, occult-themed lyrics struck a chord with fans of extreme music, earning it a place among the genre's classics.

What sets Incantation apart is their unwavering dedication to sonic malevolence. Throughout their career, they've released a string of albums that each feels like a descent into the abyss. Albums like "Mortal Throne of Nazarene" (1994), "Diabolical Conquest" (1998), and "The Infernal Storm" (2000) continued to push the boundaries of brutality and darkness, earning them a devout following in the underground.

Over the years, the band's lineup has seen its share of changes, with McEntee being the sole constant member. This has allowed Incantation to evolve while staying true to their core sound. They've collaborated with a rotating cast of exceptional musicians, each contributing to the band's infernal vision.

In 2017, Incantation released "Profane Nexus," an album that reaffirmed their status as titans of death metal. With tracks like "Rites of the Locust" and "Messiah Nostrum," they demonstrated that their ability to conjure unholy soundscapes had not waned over the years.

Incantation's enduring legacy in death metal is a testament to their dedication to the genre's roots and their fearless exploration of its darkest corners. They've inspired countless bands and continue to be a vital force in the evolution of extreme music. With each release, Incantation reaffirms their status as masters of unholy death metal, summoning aural nightmares that resonate with those who seek the depths of musical darkness.

Introducing their latest single, "The Common Breed," Texas-based death metal practitioners CREEPING DEATH are ready to rock the metal scene. Accompanied by a captivating music video, this track is part of their highly anticipated Boundless Domain LP, slated for release on June 16th via MNRK Heavy.

Produced by Adam Dutkiewicz, guitarist of Killswitch Engage and renowned for his work with bands like As I Lay Dying, The Acacia Strain, and Underoath, Boundless Domain is a sophomore album that exudes immense power, depth, and intensity. From start to finish, it delivers a relentless onslaught of heavy riffs and is guaranteed to captivate metal fans. In the wake of the unfortunate passing of local heroes Riley Gale of Power Trip and Wade Allison of Iron Age, the band members—guitarist Trey Pemberton, singer Reese Alavi, bassist Eric "Rico" Mejia, drummer Lincoln Mullins, and guitarist A.J. Ross, III—found inspiration in revisiting their favorite metallic hardcore influences. Boundless Domain features future death metal classics such as the crushingly heavy and fast-paced "Intestinal Wrap," featuring George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher of Cannibal Corpse. Another standout track, "Vitrified Earth," showcases CREEPING DEATH's impressive songwriting skills, with Alavi's vocal delivery demonstrating impeccable cadence and phrasing, all while maintaining a brutal edge. Towards the end of the album, listeners can expect a touch of atmospheric elements, with mesmerizing guitar effects, harmonies, and intricate time signatures.

Speaking about their latest single, "The Common Breed," Pemberton shares, "This music video perfectly captures the energy of a CREEPING DEATH live show. It was a blast to make, and we are grateful to all our friends and family who came out and went wild for us." After a successful European/UK tour supporting Revocation and Goatwhore earlier this year, followed by a recent North American run supporting Carcass, Municipal Waste, and Sacred Reich, CREEPING DEATH is ready to hit the road again with the Boundless Domain Summer 2023 tour. This headlining tour will consist of two parts and will feature support from two different groups. Part 1 kicks off on June 16th in San Antonio, Texas, coinciding with the release of their new LP, and will cover the Western half of the United States, concluding on July 1st in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Joining CREEPING DEATH for Part 1 will be Year Of The Knife, Fleshrot, and Saintpeeler.

After a brief break, the band will embark on Part 2 of the Boundless Domain Summer 2023 tour on July 10th in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This leg of the tour will see CREEPING DEATH conquering the Eastern half of the country until July 21st, concluding in Fort Worth, Texas. Enforced will join them on select dates during Part 2, along with Upon Stone and Saintpeeler. Tickets for the tour are now available for purchase on creepingdeath.net. Check out the list of confirmed tour dates below and make sure to catch CREEPING DEATH's electrifying performances.

In the realm of heavy metal, there exists a subgenre that pushes the boundaries of intensity, aggression, and sheer brutality. It is a sonic onslaught that evokes a visceral reaction, both captivating and polarizing listeners. This genre is none other than Death Metal.

Emerging in the early 1980s, death metal carved its own path in the metal landscape, distinct from its predecessor, thrash metal. While thrash focused on speed and technicality, death metal delved into darker territories, exploring themes of death, horror, gore, and existential dread. It was a musical rebellion, a cathartic release
