Eco Anxiety - How to overcome it.

Eco anxiety, or climate change anxiety, whatever you want to call it, it's a fear of global warming and what it's doing to our planet.

Climate anxiety is becoming increasingly common and today we're going to discuss how to overcome this green anxiety!

We'll even cover some sustainable living tips, eco-friendly products, how to live a more sustainable lifestyle with eco-conscious habits.

    p.s. here's the article I spoke about:

Climate Anxiety Is an Overwhelmingly White Phenomenon - Is it really just code for white people wishing to hold onto their way of life or to get “back to normal?”

    • Both Autumn and Heather grew up in small towns in separate parts of North Carolina. Though their paths would not cross until several years later, both moved to the mountains in 1998. Both attended and received their degrees from Western Carolina University (although there at different times). The two have worked a collective 39 years serving the children and families of Buncombe County.   To the Brim definitely helps to illustrate the importance of doing one’s part in their community to make a larger impact or, more simply, to “do better”.

The Power We Hold Podcast S01 Ep05: In Conversation with Trevor Bayack of Freedom Market & Economic Justice Part

Thank you for joining me, your host and visual artist Vanessa Albury, on my journey to becoming a better ally to people and steward of the environment in podcast form as The Power We Hold!

In episode 5, releasing on Juneteenth, we, my co-cost Caleb Williams and I,  pick back up on the conversation in episode 4 with Trevor Bayack of Freedom Market on economic justice,  conflict resolution,BIPOC products, the radical to moderate spectrum of activism and the mix of being an artist and an entrepreneur. Enjoy our conversation with the hardest working activist in North Brooklyn, Trevor Bayack.

A note: in my intro I talk about timeframes but you'll want to subtract 2 weeks from now for them due to a delay with some emergency family issues.

Next we will re-air part I of the interview Trevor and I hosted with Heather McGhee.

Originally recorded Jan 6, 2022 in Brooklyn, NY
