The Second Coming of Christ | Herbert Cooper - Audio
2 Major Differences Between The Rapture And The Second Coming Of Christ

    1. The Rapture happens before the tribulation. The Second Coming of Christ happens after the tribulation.

1 Thessalonians 5:9 For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. (NIV)

Revelation 7:14 I answered, “Sir, you know.” And he said, “These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. (NIV)

Revelation 22:12  “Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done.” (NIV)

    2. During the Rapture we meet Jesus in the air. During the Second Coming we return to earth with Jesus.

1 Thessalonians 4:16– 17 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. (NIV)

Revelation 19:14 The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. (NIV)

Two Reasons Why Jesus Is Coming Back To Earth A Second Time

    1. He’s Coming to Judge Sin

1 John 3:5 “you know that he appeared in order to take away sins, and in him there is no sin” (ESV)

Psalm 110:6 He will judge the nations, heaping up the dead and crushing the rulers of the whole earth. (NIV)

    1. He’s coming from the sky and every eye will see him

Matthew 24:30 “At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the nations of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky, with power and great glory” (NIV)

Revelation 1:7 “Behold, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him, and all tribes of the earth will wail on account of him” (ESV)

    2. He’s coming on a white horse

Revelation 19:11  I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and wages war. (NIV)

    3. He’s coming with a sword

Revelation 19:15 Coming out of his mouth is a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. “He will rule them with an iron scepter.” He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty (NIV)

Ephesians 6:17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. (NIV)

    2. He’s Coming to Reign

Revelation 19:16 On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: king of kings and lord of lords. (NIV)

Jude 1:14-15 Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about them: “See, the Lord is coming with thousands upon thousands of his holy ones 15 to judge everyone, and to convict all of them of all the ungodly acts they have committed in their ungodliness, and of all the defiant words ungodly sinners have spoken against him.” (NIV)

Revelation 5:10 You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God, and they will reign on the earth.” (NIV)

    1. Let the sword cut you now instead of cutting you later

Hebrews 4:12–13 For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. 13 Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account. (NIV)

Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.” (NLT)

    3 Practices to Overcome Worry:

    1. Come to Jesus.

Matthew 11:28a Jesus says “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens” (NLT)

3 Ways to Come to Jesus.

Philippians 4:6 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. (NLT)

    3. Come to Him through worship.

    3. Rest

Matthew 11:28-29 Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.” (NIV)

Genesis 2:2-3 On the seventh day God had finished his work of creation, so he rested[a] from all his work. 3 And God blessed the seventh day and declared it holy, because it was the day when he rested from all his work of creation. (NLT)

Matthew 11:28-30 Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you. 151. End of Days (1999)

The end of the millenium had plenty of people scared. Some were worried about Y2K, some about other vague prophecies. Now obviously the apocalypse didn't happen quite then, but we still got to view the End of Days in our own way. Now 20 years later, the Squirms decide to relive that experience, and all the bad CG that comes with it. Will the combined might of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Gabriel Byrne (Hereditary), and Robin Tunney (The Craft) be able to save their viewing?
