Norifumi Kid Yamamoto under the tutelage of Enson Inoue was the brightest star of Japan's MMA scene during it's heyday, the mid-2000's. Taken from us too soon, Kid Yamamoto passed away from stomach cancer in 2018. We ae joined by Enson Inoue himself to remember Norifumi "Kid" Yamamoto, March 15, 1977 – September 18, 2018.

InfernoCast 36 - Enson Inoue a true MMA legend, Talks about how he got from Hawaii to Japan and become a champion

Enson tells the story of growing up and actually not enjoying martial arts in the early years, but the necessity of self defense pushed him to train and then he met the Gracies.

Travelling to Japan for Racquetball gave Enson his chance to experience another culture and use his Gracie Jiu Jitsu to impress the Shooto promoters that gave him his first fight.

Learning about how Enson continued to take matches because they were difficult gives us a unique look into his warrior spirit as he wanted to push himself to the limits, which he did many times in some brutal battles.

Enson is an extremely spiritual person and his martial arts path is very deep and inspiring.  Plus there are some hilarious stories of getting to the big leagues of MMA in the 90's
