    011: The Last Jedi Discussion

    011: The Last Jedi Discussion
Kevonte and Chris are joined by Matt Truex from Lois & Clark'd: The New Podcasts of Superman and Zach Moore from Always Hold On To Smallville for a roundtable discussion about The Last Jedi! Two of them love it, two of them...don't, and hopefully their friendships survive what is unquestionably the most divisive Star Wars of them all!

BONUS - Star Wars: The Last Jedi (with Barm)

Now that we’re out of the Mirror Universe, before we dive back into the Klingon war, take a break from all your worries with a little Star Wars!  Before Jack was ever on What Were We Watching’s fantastic Last Jedi roundtable discussion (listen to it at whatwerewewatching.com!), he recorded this fun little Last Jedi discussion with old buddy and JSLFNSTDP standby Barm, waaaaay back in 2017.  And if there’s one thing Star Wars has taught us, it’s that prequels are good!  Listen to Jack inadvertently say many of the things he said on WWWW (but also a lot of stuff he DIDN’T) in slightly different ways, but this time with a different guy!  Where things diverge is with a lot more Star Trek, Star Wars EU universe, George Lucas impressions, Force Awakens, Rogue One, podcast shop talk and a billion other fun things. Purple Hair! Red Sand! Blue Milk! White-hot passion for Star Wars!  It’s all here.

    Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

Two years ago Star Wars roared back into the collective consciousness of the world as The Force Awakens dawned a new era for the saga. The installment left many viewers speechless and eagerly anticipating this return to a galaxy far, far away. Luckily in this era of Disney’s rule, the wait was only 2 years (with a nice side of Rogue One in the middle) for Rian Johnson’s addition.

In this episode of The 602 Club host Matthew Rushing is joined by Jedi Council members Bruce Gibson and John Mills to talk about Star Wars: The Last Jedi. We discuss context and history, writing 101, the characters, the "chase", almost death, Crait and Luke battle, lost hope, humor, music, ships and our ratings.

HAPPY Star Wars movie day because Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi is officially out now! Hoody actually got to see it early so he give his initial thoughts, but join Hoody, Kevin and Javi as we discuss the HUGE Disney-Fox deal and what it could mean for almost every Fox movie and television show we all watch. It turns out DC Comics and Warner Bros. Entertainment are hosting an the premiere of Black Lightning and its DC in DC 2018 event and we hope we can get in! Plus we get an update on how Javi and Alex are both doing on their Gilmore Girls-Star Wars bet, otherwise known as "StarMore GirlWars."
