    Ernie Coombs, better known as, "Mr. Dressup" is a Canadian icon. 

    Canadian Film Maker, Rob McCallum brings his movie, "Mr. Dressup: The Magic of Make Believe" to the screen to connect childhood memories with millions of Canadians. 

    McCallum's film took home the Toronto International Film Festival's People's Choice Award in 2023 as best documentary.

    McCallum joins Chuck Bastie to talk about his film, the process of making it and the magic of make-believe.

    This heartfelt documentary celebrates the life and work of Ernie Coombs, the iconic Canadian children’s television personality who encouraged generations of kids to be their best selves. The children's entertainer who created and starred in the long-running Canadian television series Mr. Dressup, documenting his career and its impact on Canadian culture and entertainment.

    We interviewed the movie's producer, Mark Bishop.

    Mark Bishop is co-founder and executive producer at Canada's leading production company, marblemedia. Over the last 20 years Mark, and his business partner Matthew Hornburg, have diversified marblemedia’s content slate into becoming one of the country's leading and most highly respected independent production, distribution, and digital media companies.
