Episode 173 Perry Russo's 2nd Polygraph Test Conducted by Ed O'Donnell

Episode 173 Perry Russo's 2nd Polygraph Test Conducted by Ed O'Donnell

Episode 173  is the story of the 2nd polygraph test taken by Perry Russo. Jim Garrison and his team, concerned that the results of the first polygraph test administered to Perry Russo would be made public on national television as part of Walter Sheridan's NBC White Paper documentary, scrambled to have a second polygraph administered that would reinforce the veracity and confirm the truth of Perry Russo's statements to be made at trial.  More specifically, that Russo was present at the assassination plot party which took place at David Ferrie's apartment  which was an event that Clay Shaw was present for and participated in...and that a man named Leon Oswald was present and that is one and the same as Lee Harvey Oswald. Oh, and that Clem Bertrand is one and the same as Clay Shaw.  Unfortunately, the test was cut short and it led to a private conversation between Russo and Ed O'Donnell the polygraph operator and a sergeant on the New Orleans police force.  O'Donnell would tell Garrison and members of his staff what Russo had privately relayed to O'Donnell after the polygraph machine was turned off....that Russo could not definitively say that  Clay Shaw had been at the party that night and participated in the assassination  meeting.  Later,  O'Donnell would make the decision to reveal this information publicly going against Garrison as Garrison ignored what O'Donnell had revealed to him about the conversation with Russo.  Several weeks into the Clay Shaw trial, O'Donnell would make the decision to  testify on behalf of the defense, an unusual matriculation of events in the case.  Some critics say that O'Donnell was a foe of Garrison's and that impacted what happened here. Others say it was just one more example of Garrison's disregard for the truth in his quest to bring the case to trial.

Even as early as 1964, rumors and serious concerns over  the lone gunman theory and the evidence that might contravene it,  were becoming a major concern for the government and the commission. Conspiracy theories were contrary to the government's stated narrative from the very beginning. This  real-life story is more fascinating than fiction. No matter whether you are a serious researcher or a casual student, you will enjoy the fact filled narrative and story as  we relive one of the most shocking moments in American History. An event that changed the nation and changed the world forever.

Episode 172 A Recap of the Joan Mellen Interview on Taking Aim Radio

Episode 172 is a recap by me  of our three part series which featured an interview of the author Joan Mellen on the Taking Aim Radio Program.  Our three part series bonus episodes (wanders, really)   supplements  our ongoing   story of the Garrison investigation in  New Orleans and the related trial of Clay Shaw.  Joan Mellen is the author of a well done  investigative book entitled  A Farewell to Justice. In  a rare appearance to promote her book, Ms. Mellon  participated in a radio interview that was presented by radio station WBAI in Brooklyn on the show Taking Aim. The conversation aired in October 2005, just prior to her book coming out. ..and it is quite revealing. In the three part series, Ms. Mellen engages in an intimate conversation about some of the most important investigative work done around the assassination itself and the Garrison investigation.  Today's episode discussed and recaps the most important aspects of what we heard from Joan and her interviewers.

Episode 171 is  part 3 (and the final part)  in a  three part series of  bonus episodes (wanders, really)  which  supplement our  story of the Garrison investigation in  New Orleans and the related trial of Clay Shaw.  Joan Mellen is the author of a well done  investigative book entitled  A Farewell to Justice. Shone was a documentary filmmaker and Shoenman was  a left wing activist who was involved in  some of the original investigative work on the Kennedy assassination and who  made acquaintance with Mark Lane. Shoenman   had previously gone to  work for Bertrand Russell in 1960, and he was a major force behind Bertrand Russell's  important and highly influential/controversial 1964 article entitled 16 Questions  on the  Assassination. Russell was one of the most  influential philosophers and social activists  of the 20th century and  he won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1950. Russell would later break with Shoenman, citing various allegations of wrongdoing while working at Russell's foundation (and) in an attempt to distance himself from some of Shoenman's  more radical activities.

Episode 167 The Garrison Investigation Part 17 Rose Cherami Part 2

Episode 167 The Garrison Investigation Part 17 Rose Cherami Part 2

Episode 167 is  the seventeenth in a new series of episodes that chronicle the story of the Garrison investigation in  New Orleans and the related trial of Clay Shaw.  Today's episode is the  second and last in two part multi-espisode mini series on Rose Cherami.  You may recall that the story of Rose Cherami dons the opening scene of the movie JFK. She was a stripper and a prostitute and a drug mule and a mother. And she worked for Jack Ruby at one point. She is one of a unique handful of witnesses who expressed knowledge of the assassination before the assassination actually occurred and she met with a mysterious death within two years of our president's murder. Her story was not featured in the Warren Commission but her fantastic story was unearthed soon after by Jim Garrison and his  team, including Frances Fruge  who was  on loan to Garrison from the Louisiana State Police. Fruge was the officer who originally interacted with Rose and heard her claim of the impending assassination for the first time on the night of November 20th, 1963.  Her story was investigated further by the House Select Committee on Assassinations.  Ironically, Cherami was admitted for drug detoxification  on the night of the 20th at East Louisiana State Hospital. The same hospital where Lee Harvey Oswald had applied for a job while in the Clinton/Jackson area.  It was a very small world.  Listen to these three episodes and see how the characters begin to draw closer together in relation to one another. As the ever deepening analysis draws out the players, and exposes the relationships that most clearly existed.

What Does the Bible Say About Two Godly Mothers?

What Does the Bible Say About Two Godly Mothers?

In this episode, Arnie and Fred discuss the importance God places on the influence of godly parents, but specifically here, the importance of godly mothers. God is the Creator and He instituted Motherhood in the beginning of mankind. He included the requirement for Israelites to honor their mothers and fathers in the Law of Moses. We discuss this principle that is now a universal requirement of God's. We look at Lois and Eunice, Timothy's mother and grandmother and the power of their godly influence in Timothy's development to become an important fellow laborer with Paul the apostle. We discuss the fact that mothers are known by their children and the continuing righteous influence Eunice and Lois provided Timothy throughout his life. Even upon being persecuted and jailed, Timothy continued to be faithful to the godly encouragement and influence he continued to receive from these two godly women. Take about 30 minutes to listen in on our conversations.  Have your Bible handy so you can verify what we are saying. There is transcript of this Buzzsprout episode provided for your convenience.

Ep. 125 - Weathering the storm - in the aftermath of Dudley, Eunice, Franklin and Gladys how did Saul and Lucy's respective estates fare? And what on earth are weather bombs and sting jets? Listen in to find out.

We are now firmly in winter, and you might be thinking that Head Gardeners Saul Walker and Lucy Chamberlain are taking things easy on their respective estates. But as these latest episodes will show, the two are fervently working away as busily as ever. With jobs such as planting, pruning, clearing and renovating on the cards, Lucy and Saul are at no risk of getting cold during this chillier season. The gardening friends are also busy thinking of the year ahead, so expect plenty of discussions about the weather, biscuits, buying new equipment, mowing, spreadsheets vs. lists, (more biscuits), and what plans they have for their own private gardens.

When warm air and cold air do a merry dance about the North Atlantic waters, it concludes with turbulent times over the UK. Storms Dudley, Eunice, Franklin and Gladys wreaked their havoc last week, and now gardens up and down the country are clearing up the resulting damage. Lucy and Saul discuss the effects of these "once in a generation" wind speeds on the Donyland and Stonelands estates, plus they get to grips with a few impressive meteorological terms. Remedial pruning is also on the menu, and the duo achieve an optimistic attitude towards the opportunities this brings.

Episode 78: Acts 16 Part 1 Barnabas Fades To the Sunset

Episode 78: Acts 16 Part 1 Barnabas Fades To the Sunset
Barnabas decides to take John Mark with him to revisit the churches he and Paul started on their first "Missionary Journey." As Barnabas rides off into the sunset Luke turns his attention to Paul and begins to now focus on his ministry. But before we turn loose of Barnabas, we can take a great lesson from him: Just because we don't hear from him again, he is just as important as Paul or any other apostle. Even though we don't have the details from his traveling, Barnabas did a great work for the kingdom of God and we can be encouraged by him. We don't have to be in a pulpit or in a place where all eyes are on us to be effective for the kingdom, we just have to be obedient to the will of God and use our talents for Him! We are introduced to a new worker named Timothy who gets circumcised and travels with Paul and Silas while on the local scene. This young man was introduced to the Lord by his grandmother and mother! So in this podcast I give a shout out to all the women who share their faith and work for God's kingdom! Thank you ladies!

But don’t worry, he’s only going to turn you into his personal army via magical ring attacks. Yes, that is all accurate. Sam is not pleased with Ian this week as we begin our two part Troll adventures.

What Does The Bible Say About Godly Women In The Church?

What Does The Bible Say About Godly Women In The Church?

In this episode Arnie and Fred discuss some of the women disciples found in the New Testament and what they did. This will be the first of two episodes. You will find that the godly women in the New Testament church were critical to the success of spreading the gospel throughout the world. We will note nine named disciples and the work that they performed in the spreading of the gospel at that time as recorded by both Paul and Luke. Take about 30 minutes to listen in on our discussion and have your bible handy so you can follow us discussing the related passages.
