In this Bible Story, Jesus displays his compassionate power over sickness and death. He heals a woman who is afflicted with chronic bleeding. He takes a little girl that has passed and restores her life. Jesus did these things to show the whole world that sickness and death does not rule over him the same way it does for humanity. When they finally arrived at Jarius’ house, it was too late…or so they thought. Jesus had the group of mourners leave and made His way to the girl's room, and at His word brings life back into her lifeless body!

As Paul and Luke traveled along the Asian sea teaching, his mind was constantly turned toward Ephesus. At last, he decided to visit them one last time before going to Jerusalem where he would be beaten and brought before the courts.

In this episode, Arnie and Fred talk about resurrection. It is a subject many times at funerals when we talk about seeing our loved ones again. Solomon tells us that our spirit returns to God when our bodies die. We note numerous passages that refer to the resurrection of our bodies.  Paul in particular has a whole chapter in First Corinthians discussing that very subject.  We talk about the definition of the word and the fact that it is referred to no less than 42 times in the New Testament. We look at the three times in the Old Testament that individuals rose from the dead. There are a number of instances in the New Testament that we talk about.  Of course, the example of Jesus' resurrection is also noted and especially the example of Thomas being a reliable witness of that event.  We complete this episode by noting the comfort an obedient servant of the Lord can experience knowing he will live again and be with the Lord in heaven. Take about 30 minutes to listen in on our discussion. Have your Bible handy to follow along and insure what we are saying is what the Bible says.

What if we had no prior knowledge of church and only had the Bible? If all we had was the Bible what would church look like?

This episode we explore the story of Eutychus falling out the window, found in Acts Chapter 20:7-12. We made an unexpected application regarding how we can spiritually "Resurrect" those who fall out of fellowship and recognise our own need for connections with our fellow believers so we don't end up falling out ourselves

The resurrection stories of Scripture (both Old Testament and New) are... weird.  But in them we can RE:examine a few beautiful truths: namely, WHO resurrection is for, and WHEN resurrection takes place.  Prepare yourself for lots of zombie talk.  And if you're planning to fall asleep during this sermon, make sure you aren't in a windowsill.
