Today, there's no shortage of Bluetooth headsets. Just do a quick Google search and you'll be flooded with makes, models and places you can go to get more information. But, with all those choices, some, as you'd imagine, aren't your best choice. This could be because they don't have the features, sound quality, comfort or reliability you want and need.

In this episode, I'll introduce you to one model that would easily meet the needs of many people who spend  time working, and communicating using a computer, or a mobile device. This is the Jabra Evolve2 65, which is a second generation  Evolve headset.

The Evolve line of wireless headsets have enjoyed a lot of acceptance over the years for a lot of good reasons. They're comfortable, reliable, and they sound professional.  Jabra, with the new  Evolve2 line, upped their game, and I have to say, they did a great job.

The Evolve2 65 looks fantastic. I has a very modern, contemporary look, but looks aside, this headset is all business.

It has a 3 microphone array that's designed to give you professional sound, and noise reduction to keep your calls sounding clear, without distracting background noises. And, in our tests, this headset passed with flying colors. Not all headsets we've tested can say the same thing.

The Evolve2 65 comes with a USB Adapter in either the A or C configuration so it's compatible with either port you use. Having this USB Adapter gives you compatibility with the leading UC platforms such as Microsoft Teams, RingCentral, Zoom, Dialpad, 8X8 and more. You may even get a more reliable connection, better sound quality, and even longer wireless range over using Bluetooth.

It's light and comfortable, with it weighing 6.2 ounces, which makes it on the lighter side of headset weight. Not the lightest, but light. The memory foam ear cushions, and silicone padded headband add to the comfort of this headset.

You get a lot of talk and listening time too:

    • 37 hours of listening time
    • 35 hours of talk time if the busy light is off (24 if the light is on)

Here's the time required to recharge the battery:

    • 37 hours of battery life in 90 minutes
    • 8 hours of battery life in 15 minutes
    • 40% charge in 30 minutes, and 80% charge in 60 minutes

Best of all, you can continue using the headset even when the battery is being recharged.

The wireless range is typical  to most Bluetooth headsets at a rating up to 100 feet (30 meters). But, real world range would be closer to 50 feet.

As for cost, this is a Bluetooth headset that's priced around $200 - $250.00, which is fair given the quality, comfort and sound quality.

I like this headset, and I highly recommend it.
