Many so-called churches, more than likely copycats of the Roman Catholic sect, indulge in the worship of angels.  This is not scriptural practice and is definitely offensive to God, who only must be worshipped.  The holy Scriptures informs us of angels, their existence, and duties before God.  They are not for humans to interact with in worship or  errands, and they certainly DO NOT listen to or take orders from humans!

A study of 1 Thessalonians 3, a church that delighted the apostle Paul and was a joy to all the believers away from them, in spite of all their sufferings.  In this age of increasing continuing and increasing persecution against believers, we will be encouraged by the faith of the Thessalonian church in the first century when Christianity was foreign and greatly despised.

In Titus chapter 1, Paul instructs Titus about appointing qualified elders in the churches of Crete. He emphasizes the necessity of leaders who exhibit sound doctrine, morality, and the ability to correct false teachings. Paul underscores the importance of living in a manner that aligns with the gospel, highlighting the characteristics and responsibilities expected of leaders within the Christian community.

Chapter 2 of Titus delves into practical instructions for various groups within the church. Paul urges older men and women to model godly behavior, encouraging self-control, wisdom, and teaching. He emphasizes the importance of sound doctrine, stressing that it should influence believers' conduct and relationships. Paul also advises Titus on how to instruct slaves to respect their masters and conduct themselves with integrity, reflecting the teachings of Christ.

In Titus chapter 3, Paul reminds the believers to live in accordance with the grace of God that brings salvation. He emphasizes the transformational power of God's mercy through the Holy Spirit, highlighting that it's not through works but by God's grace that believers are saved. Paul urges them to avoid quarrels, foolish controversies, and divisive behavior, emphasizing the need for unity, good works, and devotion to God. He encourages believers to engage in acts of kindness and to persevere in doing good, reminding them of the hope they have in Christ's eternal life.

It is the Christmas season of year 2023, as we count years on earth.  Faithful believers will be celebrating the most amazing thing that almighty God did for humanity 2023 years ago.  Most of the world will shut down from labours on the day acknowledged by believers as Christmas Day, not indicating the day of the birth of our wonderful Lord, but a specifically appointed day to celebrate the fact of His advent.  The question is will everyone enjoying the free holiday and celebrations be celebrating for the right reason, or just foolishly, not knowing the reason for the season?

There is only ONE way to be a Christian!

Many people, believers and unbelievers alike celebrate Christmas across the world.  A lot of these celebrations have nothing to do with Christ or His salvation.  As faithful believers rejoice in what the Lord has done for them, in forgiving their sins, reconciling them to God, and granting them salvation, and a new life in Christ Jesus, other celebrate what they do not know.

Does everyone have the right to celebrate Christmas, is it just a season of baseless celebration and frivolities? Or should Christmas be a time of reflection and sobriety?

There is only ONE way to be a Christian!

In the first century there were dangerous “mockers” who caused divisions in the Body of Christ and were “worldly minded, devoid of the Spirit.” We, too, must be ready to recognize and respond to those who deny Jesus and His Gospel. Danson Ottawa of ACFAR Kenya applies Jude 17–23 to our day, giving three clear exhortations on how to respond to the challenge of false teaching and deal compassionately with those who are harmed by it.

Our loving Saviour promised not to leave us as orphans.  Indeed He perfected our adoption as children of the Father on the cross at Calvary when He fully paid for our sins in death.  Knowing full well that He was going to perfect our salvation by His death on the cross, He prayed to the Father on our behalf just before He was arrested to be killed.  We should reflect on this prayer and strive to live under that blessing.  Thank you, Lord Jesus Christ!

People spend a lot of time preparing for all kinds of occasions, and there is nothing wrong with that.  However, many neglect the most important preparation for the greatest occasion of all; the return of the Lord Jesus Christ, or our being called out of the world to stand before God's throne, in death.  It is tragic that even most professing Christians would rather not hear or discuss this very purpose for living, they're busy loving the world they would rather not give a thought to leaving it. What then have they believed?

This is a study of 1 Thessalonians 1, commending the early believers of that church, and their excellent lives of faith in severely difficult living situations.  Their example is very encouraging in this present age.

Our wonderful and glorious Lord, in readiness to pay the price for all our sins in order that we may be forgiven and reconciled with God the Father, prayed for our sustenance.  His prayer was for our empowerment to live the new life He was going to rebirth us into, and remain in it.  His death on the cross at Calvary would birth a new generation of grateful, righteous and holy nation; the children of God.  Christ knew that we cannot live that new life in our own strength, so He prayed the Father on our behalf.

A wonderful prayer session that bares out the heart of our wonderful Saviour and Lord; how blessed we are!

Various messages are heard today off pulpits, claiming to be evangelism.  People being invited to Christ for financial breakthrough, healing, miracles, finding marriage partners, and all kinds of sensations.  The only true reason anyone should be invited to Christ Jesus is for the forgiveness of sin, in repentance; that is the message of the Gospel of salvation through Jesus Christ.  We are all by detault enemies of God because of our sinfulness, and without forgiveness in Christ our Lord, we will perish in our sins and be condemned to hell fire at the end of our time on earth,

An unrepentant person who has not come to life in Christ through repentance and His forgiveness is deluded to think they are Christian.

There is only ONE way to be a Christian!

The primary purpose of man is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever; this cannot be done on a deathbed.  Most people in the world, and in time every person in the world, would have had an opportunity to hear the message of the Gospel of salvation in Christ Jesus.  This amazing salvation is God's offer of reconciliation to undeserving sinners that we are, and it is free!  Personal selfish ambition and the love of sin keeps most people from receiving this gift of grace from an immeasurably loving and merciful God, who gave His only begotten Son to be the propitiation for our sins.  It cost Christ Jesus His blood to earn our pardon.

It is delusion and deceptive to think that we can be obstinate towards the holy God all the days of our lives when we could have loved and honour Him, and be led to some vain confession of Christ as Saviour when we're about to face death and judgement.  At the time we have our faculties, the health and vigour He provides, is when we can honour Him as Saviour, having repented, and Lord, spending all the rest of our life bringing glory to the Father and the Son, being in submission to the Holy Spirit.  

We cannot deceive God and feign some cheap salvation because we face certain death and judgement!
