    Episode 168: Cinematic Resurrections

    Episode 168: Cinematic Resurrections

To tie in with Easter, this year the boys look at notable resurrections in mostly cinema history, from long dormant horror franchise reboots, transforming robots and secret agents we cover a range of examples that show the best and worst of what can happen when a franchise rises from the dead.

Much like with Jesus, some of these franchise will spawn a religion that lasts over 2000 years. Churches devoted to Vin Diesel? I can imagine it.

One of the best and most influential Batman stories, with a few welcomed fresh changes, held back only slightly by its chosen animation style. 8/10 — Anthony

Some confusing plot points can’t drag down an intriguing detective story and a compelling look at some major Batman characters in this adaptation of a classic Batman story. 7.5/10 — Al

Two On One: Fast and the Furious with The Rev. Cara Gilger

“I live my life a quarter mile (or one Two On One episode) at a time.”

This episode it fast, it’s furious, it’s the 10 second car of Dom’s dreams- and ours too!

That’s right Deuces, our ride or die family, this week are chatting with The Rev. Cara Gilger of Cara Gilger Ministries (@caragilger | CaraGilger.com) about the Fast and the Furious franchise.

We don’t have friends, we have family…(who just happen to be faith leaders that love pop culture too!)

So, buckle up, Buster, you’re in for a treat that’s better than a tuna sandwich (no crust).

Enjoy Two On One: Fast and the Furious with The Rev. Cara Gilger.

    Freaky Friday (1976 vs 2003)

    Freaky Friday (1976 vs 2003)

Summer Showdown continues as we go back to the mid 70s only to go back to the mid oughts! That's right! This week we visit Freaky Friday--the 1976 version starring Jodi Foster and Barbara Harris and the 2003 version starring Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis!

These body-swapping classics see a mother and a daughter in crisis as they switch bodies to get to know one another better.

One version deals with a crappy father (we're talking about you, Gomez Addams) and the other deals with a creepy love interest (that means you, One Tree Hill guy!), but it's a lot of fun and a damn good time!

But this episode is in the Plotaholics universe, so of course we are all over the place as we also ended up discussing the Fast and the Furious franchise, Wonder Woman 1984, post-credits scenes and a bunch of other stuff as well. Go figure!

Kick back, relax, and let's ride!
