    Beth and Kim has the distinct privilege of sitting down with the very inspirational Dr. Rachel Williams-Smith.   She is the author of Born Yesterday a book that had a huge impact on Beth personally. This is a conversation you don’t want to miss!

    Dr. Rachel Williams-Smith—or “Dr. Rachel”—is a master communicator and life lessons coach who loves to share her faith through laughter and tears and to encourage others to flourish. Drawing from her unique perspectives on life, she presents regularly for ever-widening academic, church group-related, and professional circles. Her candid communication style allows her to share openly and practically about her experiences so others can apply what she has learned to their lives. She loves words and has a penchant for journaling.

    Dr. Rachel is an educator, writer, and communicator who is passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of others. She serves as Dean of the School of Journalism and Communication at Southern Adventist University, and she is wife, mother, author, and speaker.     This week Beth and Kim sit down with All-American runner and Olympian Halycon MacKnight.
    Halcyon MacKnight is an Author, Speaker, Olympian, and was a good friend to her mom. She likes to call herself a pioneer of things that are great. She calls herself a catalyst for motivation, passion, humor, and energy. She works with people of all ages especially women who want to take charge of their lives to create the life they love. Believing in whom you are and using the tools and talents God has given you is what she preaches and believes in.
    MacKnight has presence, grace and perseverance that allow her to connect with all she comes in contact with. She is a survivor of Breast Cancer, Domestic Violence, an Olympian, Coach of the year, Collegiate and HS Hall of Famer, Educator, All-American, and an Author.

    Beth and Kim sit down and have a fun conversation with Ryan Becker, a friend and colleague. Ryan, one of the most prolific podcasters in the Adventist Church talks about ministry, depression and his journey toward wholeness. 

    Ryan Becker
    is a Seventh-day Adventist ministry leader currently residing in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Born and raised in Orlando, Florida, he first moved to Tennessee in 2011 to attend Southern Adventist University. While working on his theology degree, Ryan got involved in a number of youth-focused projects, including the university’s Engage Ministries and the Southern Union of Seventh-day Adventists’ Young Adult Ministry. These early works deepened Ryan’s love of creating honest, open conversations regarding religion and social activism. 

    In his spare time, you can catch Ryan hanging out with his little button of a corgi or working on a sundry list of ministry-based projects. His most ambitious endeavor to date is to eat at a Chipotle in all 50 states— only 29 states left!

    Joanne Langevin is a 3rd generation Seventh-Day Adventist that has been divorced and remarried.  She has a wonderful, kind, God-seeking husband with a BIG servant's heart!   She and her husband, Robert, both lay claim to a blended family consisting of 6 adult children.  She is a project manager for WayForth and volunteers as a co-facilitator for the University City Alzheimer's Caregiver Support Group in Charlotte, NC.  She values connectedness and is grateful for the tender way God loves her.
