It’s been estimated that if women invested at the same rate as men, there would be a further $3.2 trillion in assets under management from private individuals. To put that figure in perspective, it is larger than the GDP of the UK. So, there is indeed a gender investment gap in the UK, and it is being targeted by a new venture between Female Invest, a financial education and community platform that aims to empower women investors, and InvestEngine, an ETF investment management platform.

Am 15. November 2022 wurde Tiga Acquisition Corp. mit dem kalifornischen Unternehmen Grindr fusioniert. Grindr betreibt die gleichnamige Online-Dating- und Social Media App, die sich auf die Vermittlung von schwulen, bi, trans- und queeren Nutzern spezialisiert hat. Die Transaktion, die mit 2,1 Milliarden US-Dollar bewertet wurde, brachte Grindr rund 384 Millionen US-Dollar ein. Die frischen Mittel sollen die Bilanz des Unternehmens stärken und bei der Schuldentilgung helfen. Das Unternehmen wird nun unter dem neuen Namen Grindr Inc. an der New Yorker Börse (NYSE) notiert.

Das in Kopenhagen ansässige Startup Female Invest gab die Übernahme des dänischen Fintech-Unternehmens Gaia Investments bekannt und plant, die Handelsplattform, die sich auf Investitionen in Unternehmen mit nachhaltigen Zielen konzentriert, in seine App zu integrieren. Der Kaufpreis von Gaia wurde nicht bekannt gegeben, aber das Startup hat drei Monate vor der Transaktion eine Bewertung von 3 Millionen US-Dollar erhalten. Female Invest wurde 2019 gegründet, um Ressourcen zu bieten, die Frauen den Einstieg in die Geldanlage ermöglichen. Bei Gaia war es die Mutter des Mitbegründers und CEO David Bentzon-Ehlers die Inspiration eine Plattform zu bauen um in nachhaltige Unternehmen zu investieren. 

Das Hundefutter-Startup HelloBello hat in einer Seed-Finanzierungsrunde einen Millionenbetrag erhalten. Ziel von HelloBello ist es, Hunden gesunde und hochwertige Ernährung zu bieten. Das maßgeschneiderte Futter für den Vierbeiner lässt sich per Abosystem im Internet bestellen. Daraufhin stellt HelloBello die Mahlzeiten frisch her und liefert sie an die Kundinnen und Kunden. An der Runde beteildigt sind unter anderem Michael Hurnaus, Gründer von Tractive, das Venture Capital-Unternehmen Square One Foods aus Linz sowie Investment-Größe Hansi Hansmann. Mit dem frischen Kapital will das Startup in Deutschland expandieren und Hunden die Chance auf eine artgerechte und ausgewogene Ernährung geben.
