This is a wonderfully entertaining account of our guest’s year on the road, in a 26-city tour with the national company of “Hello Dolly”, in which he played “Horace Vandergelder” alongside the one and only Betty Buckley as “Dolly Levi”.   This engrossing book is full of great anecdotes and insights about the theatre world, as well as many astute observations about the state of America’s urban culture, hotels, restaurants, baseball teams, and the realities of life on the road.   This is our guest’s SECOND book.

His first book, is a wonderful memoir published in 2009, entitled, “Acting Foolish”, which is a refreshingly frank, insightful and sometimes hilarious exploration of his remarkable journey as an actor.

Barrie Kosky, Stage Director, Full Edition
There are not many stage directors in the world who, in the space of six months, have directed Wagner’s “Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg,” Debussy’s “Pelléas et Mélisande” and the musical, “Fiddler on the Roof.” But that is exactly how Barrie Kosky spent the second half of 2017. What’s more, this is a typical schedule for the energetic Melburnian.
