Food + Fitness Challenges: avoid these diet traps before your next challenge [REPLAY]

Food + Fitness Challenges: avoid these diet traps before your next challenge [REPLAY]

    Hey friend!

I hope you had a lovely weekend. Ours was a good balance of relaxing and getting stuff done around the house. I feel like for the most part, we are in a good weekly rhythm, and I *almost* always feel ready to hit the ground running on Monday.

Though, today , I am feeling a little more tired than usual, which could be because Aunt Flo is stopping by for a visit here in the next day or two.

This week we are talking all about Food + Fitness Challenges. This episode aired previously, but was just so good, I wanted to replay it just in case you missed it the first time around.

As the weather gets warmer, we will undoubtedly be seeing more and more messaging out there encouraging us to get our 'summer' or 'bikini' bodies ready. The truth is your body is always ready for the summer or a bikini (or whatever other kind of suit you want to wear).

No dieting, no shaping up necessary.

While I do think there *can* be some benefit from challenging yourself with different challenges, I think if left unchecked, they often end up being more like a diet than anything else.

So, to help you avoid those pitfalls and diet traps, I'm sharing with you some ways to approach these challenges in the future, as well as giving you some alternative non- diet strategies to food + fitness that won't leave you feeling deprived and restricted while also putting you in the driver's seat around your favorite foods.

Are you ready to say good bye to dieting forever, for food to feel easy, and for exercise to be something you do regularly for yourself rather than it feel like a daunting chore or punishment for things you ate?

If so, I can help. You can simply email alisha@alishacarlson.com to set up a consult to see if my non-diet approach is what you're looking for.

Are we connected yet? If not, come find me so we can hang out:

Ep 79: The Truth About Food + Fitness Challenges so you can avoid these common mistakes

Ep 79: The Truth About Food + Fitness Challenges so you can avoid these common mistakes

We've all either seen em or tried em..

    You know the ones...

No sugar, no alcohol for 21 Days.
    The Whole 30.

Often times they start to show up right around Halloween and the Holidays. Definitely in the New Year to shed all that unwanted weight gained during the holidays. And, they even make an appearance just in time to get us all bikini ready in the summer.

But, are all these challenges actually helping you or hindering you? Keeping you stuck in the vicious diet loop.

If you've ever found yourself doing any of these leading up to a challenge, then this episode is for you..

    - getting it all in before you start the challenge on Monday

    - binging on last minute things because you know you 'can't have them' after you start

    - Feeling a little (or a lot) anxious about all the things you're gonna have to say no to over the next few weeks

This week I am sharing the truth about food + fitness challenges and BONUS 5 Questions to ask yourself before you start your next challenge.
