Episode 29 of the For The Burgh Podcast features my favorite singer from my favorite band of all time, Adam Lazzara from Taking Back Sunday! Adam and I run thru every TBS album, and he gives us his favorite songs from each record. We also talk about some demos/B-sides that didn't quite make the cut on a couple records. I ask how he turned a simple mic swing on stage into a legit art form and how other members of the band steered clear of the mic during shows. We talk about Adam's solo work along with some songs he's been featured on by other artists, and how he would like to pursue a career in musical engineering in the near future. He shows a ton of Pittsburgh love and recalls a few Pittsburgh show memories like the time he knocked his front tooth out with the microphone in Pittsburgh and the time he broke up a fight and kicked the guy out of the show during an outdoor show. Episode 28 of the For The Burgh Podcast features former Pittsburgh Penguin and overtime Game 7 hero, Darius Kasparaitis! Kaspar talks about what it was like being drafted 5th overall by the New York Islanders, being shocked that he was traded to the hated division rival Pittsburgh Penguins and how the team and city welcomed him with open arms. He also talks about some of his favorite spots around Pittsburgh, favorite Penguins teammates and obviously we talk about the famous Game 7 overtime goal and celebration plus a lot more!

He talks about what it was like working with Tegan And Sara and playing with Matt Skiba And The Sekrets. He also shares a memory from Pittsburgh about a time when Chris #2 from Anti-Flag lent him his car to get around the city that day so he could see a movie and grab a burrito from Mad Mex!

We talk about his personal "WrestleMania Moments", including having an impromptu 1 on 1 match with The Most Electrifying Man in Sports Entertainment, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson at the Grandest Stage of Them All in front of the biggest WrestleMania crowd of all time! Episode 23 of the For The Burgh Podcast features lead signer/lead guitarist of Anti-Flag, Justin Sane! Justin talks about the early Pittsburgh Punk scene and how that influenced him to start Anti-Flag. We run thru every Anti-Flag album and he gives us his personal favorite song from each record, as he goes into detail about what each of those songs was written about. He obviously shows a ton of Pittsburgh love and also gives us his thoughts on politics being a topic of conversation in the world of sports, music and other forms of entertainment! 

Episode 22 of the For The Burgh Podcast features the lead singer of a Pittsburgh and Yinzer favorite The Clarks, none other than Scott Blasey! Scott and I run thru each and every Clarks album, he describes the recording process behind each one and gives us his personal favorite song off each record as well! We obviously talk a bunch about Pittsburgh as he gives us everything from his favorite venue in the city to his favorite Primanti's sandwich and everything in between! 

Episode 18 of the For The Burgh Podcast features Fred Mascherino of The Color Fred, formerly of Taking Back Sunday! Fred and I run through every album he's recorded with Taking Back Sunday, Terrible Things and The Color Fred, giving us his personal favorite song from each record. He tells us about the worst injury he suffered from one of Adam Lazzara's (lead singer of TBS) mic swings, and he shows a bunch of Pittsburgh love! Episode 17 of the For The Burgh Podcast features frontman of The Devil Wears Prada, and fellow YINZER, Mike Hranica! Mike and I very quickly run through some of his favorite tracks from every TDWP record before getting into his favorite spots around The Burgh! He also gives us his favorite Pittsburgheese sayings, but we spend the majority of the time talking about Pittsburgh Penguins hockey! We learn that Mike happens to be a DIE HARD Penguins/Hockey fan and also a big fan of Pittsburgh Sports in general!

Episode 16 of the For The Burgh Podcast features Justin Morrow of Motionless In White, formerly of Ice Nine Kills. Justin talks a little bit about the last Ice Nine Kills album he recorded with the band, The Silver Scream, and the transition from Ice Nine to Motionless. We talk about Motionless In White's newest single Another Life, his favorite horror films of all time, and he gives us a little story about his experiences in Pittsburgh!

Tune in to hear Matt talk about FFTL's complete discography, giving us his favorite song from each record. He also goes through the complete timeline of how he was originally the lead singer of the band, meeting Sonny Moore (AKA Skrillex) on Myspace, to Sonny becoming the new singer, to him leaving the band and Matt returning to the mic to sing once again, to finding yet another lead singer after doing a few records with Matt on vocals, to finally recording newer music with Sonny BACK on vocals. He talks about what it would take for FFTL to put out a new record, he mentions playing at Mr. Smalls and Altar Bar in Pittsburgh and also gives us his "Daily Jagoff".

Episode 13 of the For The Burgh Podcast hosted by Ron Gaita features Ricky Armellino from HAWK and Ice Nine Kills. Ricky takes us on a journey of his musical career, whether it be playing guitar, being a lead singer, writing or producing, he can literally do it all! He even dabbled in some stand up comedy back in the day! Ricky also shows a bunch of Pittsburgh love and gives us his "Daily Jagoff"

Episode 10 of the For The Burgh Podcast features Mark Heylmun from Suicide Silence. Mark talks about being 17 years old when he joined the band, and how they coined the term YOLO before it was cool. He also breaks down every Suicide Silence record including their newest release Become The Hunter. We talk about what he thinks about when he thinks Pittsburgh, and find out who kicked them off a tour with only 3 shows left to play when he tells us his "Daily Jagoff"

Episode 9 of the For The Burgh Podcast features one of my favorite frontmen of all time, Craig Mabbitt! Craig talks about how he joined his first band Blessthefall, starting The Word Alive, and accidentally calling Escape The Fate's manager landing him the job of being their lead singer and the rest being history! Next is Alex Pappas, formerly of one of my favorite bands of all time, Finch! Alex talks about Finch's debut album What It Is To Burn and how that record changed the course of his life. Episode 7 of the For The Burgh Podcast features Cove Reber of Dead American (former frontman of Saosin), Cove talks about how he found out that one of his favorite bands, Saosin was in search of a new singer, and how he landed the gig. He gives us his top two Cove-Era Saosin songs. He also fills us in on the new Dead American record and what it was like on their first tour with Beartooth!
