Canterbury are embracing home advantage in today's Ford Trophy one-day final against Auckland. 

Canterbury skipper Cole McConchie is aware of the ideal target needed to get the upper hand at Hagley Oval. 

The hosts welcome back Black Caps Will O'Rourke and Tom Latham along with Henry Shipley, who returns from a stress fracture in his back. 

Cole McConchie joined D'Arcy Waldegrave ahead of the first ball at 10:30.

It's crunch time in the Ford Trophy One Day Cricket competition as the Central Stags hunt down a top three finish in order to qualify for the finals. 

Meanwhile the Auckland Aces come into round eight off the back of a heavy 119 run loss to the Canterbury Kings.
