What Does the Bible Say About What Hinders Prayer #7?
In this 7th and final episode on what hinders prayer, Arnie and Fred begin by asking, Am I Reliable? Of course, primarily this question relates to being reliable in my serving the Lord. We look at several passages that point this out. We ask a number of questions that we can use in our self-examination of this subject. We continue by asking, Am I Pure? James discusses pure religion, and we talk about this. We discuss what John says about the world and it's influence over us, and the danger we face from it as it relates to our prayers. We complete this episode by asking, Am I Consistent? We note a number of passages that teach us the importance of this personal quality. We note how the people of the world watch what we do and their reaction when they see our lack of consistency. Take about 30-minutes to listen in on our discussion. Have your Bible handy so you can verify what we are saying. There is a transcript provided of this Buzzsprout episode for your convenience.

What Does the Bible Say About Being Faithful Unto Death #2?
In this second and final episode, Arnie and Fred continue their discussion of being faithful to God until we die. We begin with a short review of Jesus' temptation by Satan and how he tried to get Jesus to sin. We note how Jesus defeated the temptation and note that Jesus has provided us with the guidance on how we can do the same, if we follow His guidance. We look at the fact that James reiterates the same guidance relating to the problem of following what the world wants us to do. We identify who is behind these worldly things. We move on to the matter of forgiveness and how important it is to being faithful unto death. Jesus discusses some specific things that can affect our faithfulness to Him. We look at them. We discuss what it means to forsake our service to the Lord, how being forsaken affects Him and His assurance given to His faithful ones. The Hebrew writer notes the lack of teaching ability those he wrote to suffered from. We talk about how this affects our faithfulness. Solomon has much to say about the problem of aging, how we suffer from it and when we ought to remember our Creator. Paul writes about this very subject and how we ought to look at this personal problem we all experience. We complete this episode by going back to what Jesus said to the local church at Smyrna in Revelation chapter 2 verse 10. Take about 30 minutes to listen in on our discussion. Have your Bible handy so you can verify what we are saying. There is a transcript of this Buzzsprout episode provided for your convenience.
Micah, The Levite, and the Tribe of Dan - The Book of Judges
In this Bible Story, the tribe of Dan steals idols from the house of Micah, and siege an innocent village. The tribe of Dan found a home at the expense of others, and Israel continued to sin before God. This story is inspired by Judges 17-18. Go to BibleinaYear.com and learn the Bible in a Year.
Today's Bible verse is Judges 18:6 from the King James Version.
Episode 70: Israel was descending into madness, right and wrong went out the door and everyone did what they wanted. From the hill country of Ephraim an Israelite named Micah stole silver from his mother. But when he returned it his mother made him an idol out of it and it became one of his household gods. One day, a Levite, who was not content serving in the tabernacle, decided to look for work elsewhere and Micah, seeing him wandering, appointed him to be the priest of his house thinking that God would bless him for this. But God will not bless foolishness just because we place his name on it. Micah ended up losing the Levite and his idols. And their sin became the sin of an entire tribe.

Barriers to the Kingdom
God wants you to enter the Kingdom of God however, you must forsake the barriers and choose God.
Psalm 13: And You Thought You Were the First
Psalm 13
Satan wants you to believe you are the very first and only follower of God to feel abandoned and alone. He wants you to think that no one else ever felt like you do on your bad days. He wants you to be so upset about it that you abandon God. But the Bible doesn't sell you a bill of goods. The Bible doesn't claim that all of life is daisies and buttercups for God's people. Edwin and Andrew dig into Psalm 13 to see what to do in those moments when life is really, really tough even for God's people.
