DT 31 // Daft Punk - über Rock-Posen, Retro-Roboter & das Design einer Dekade

Die französischen House-Legenden Daft Punk haben diese Woche ihre Auflösung bekanntgegeben. Mit einer ureigenen Kombination aus Funk- und Disco-Zitaten, pointierten Beat-Mixes und beeindruckenden Videos war das DJ- und Produzenten-Duo aus Paris von Mitte der Neunziger bis in die Jetztzeit einer der größten Pioniergeister für die Pop-Musik der letzten 30 Jahre. Neben den ikonischen Auftritten mit Roboter-Masken stehen Thomas Bangalter und Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo mit Hits wie „Da Funk“, „One More Time“ oder „Get Lucky“ wie kaum eine andere Band für den Club-Sound der 2000er. Carina, Fionn und Mathis entschlüsseln in der 31. Folge von Discothesen, wie French House die Party-Kultur geprägt hat, wie aus Musik-Nerds Konzeptkünstler*innen werden und warum Daft Punk bei allem Mut zur Grenzüberschreitung trotzdem Dogmatiker waren.
