    Artist Missing in Action

I'm back! I got a bit overwhelmed and sidetracked the last couple months. Here is a short welcome back episode. I will release my next episode on Jan. 1st with all the dirty details from 2023. Did I make any money this year? Why did I buy so many art supplies? Is this all just a foolish dream? Stay tuned to hear the end of season wrap up. I hope it inspires and motivates you to keep going and make that art!
    Thank you!

#20 Reforming artclasses and painting super queens with Tarana Shanti Labuche

#20 Reforming artclasses and painting super queens with Tarana Shanti Labuche

Tarana Shanti Labuche is a fine art painter who has her easel right next to the beaches of the lovely city of the Hague, The Netherlands When her parents split she needed to take over caring for her father which required her to grow up quickly. In this exhausting situation, she found art as her safe space and a place where she could express her inner child.

Nowadays she is working part-time as a teacher while being a full-time artist.  Her artwork is an expression of strong female women and an exploration of both strength and vulnerability. She wants to bring empowerment and positivity and inspire women to connect to their divine nature.

She paints super-queens! as she calls them. Super-queens are female heroes who convey strength and take pride in vulnerability. They show the courage to be seen when they have no control over the outcome and inspire others to experience new experiences.

She believes that taking pride in our strength and vulnerability opens us up to the opportunity to be our own heroes. So let’s take pride in them, they make us who we are – unique and so totally awesome!

In this conversation, we talk a lot about the connection between art and feminism as we both have our roots there. To find your voice, stop hiding and reinventing the art school system

Andy Warhol “Don’t think about making art, just get it done.  Let everyone else decide if it’s good or bad, whether they love it or hate it.  While they are deciding, make even more art.”
