With the 30^th anniversary of the biggest tournament in japanese professional wrestling right around the corner New Japan Pro Wrestling finally announced the full line up of the G1 Climax 30 stat's starting on September 19 in Osaka. Like every year STRIGGA & Dylan got together to discuss potential winners, dark horses, alternative candidates and of course who gets to beat the champion. This time the field of 20 also raises the question why there are no new entrants for the first time in the tournement's history and what that says about NJPW as a whole.

The Eastern Lariat comes to you with a bunch of different topics such as Hiromu Takahashi's idea of running the Best of the Super Junior and the G1 Climax simultaneously, Dragon Gate's King of Gate, All Japan's latest event featuring a great Junior Title match and DDT putting out more great content. The big talking point though is the junior division of Pro Wrestling NOAH that's full of turns, twists and treachery.

While Kent was in Dallas, he got to hang out with the incredibly talented Lauren the Flute! (@laurentheflute). Lauren is the frontlady of the Texas-based video game band The Returners and she also is a part of the video game music label Materia Collective. We talk about her role in that, how The Returners came to be, and what game made her a fan of video game music. STRIGGA & Dylan got together to talk about the two Block Final shows and the Final event from Tokyo Nippon Budokan. While going through this trifecta of shows the Eastern Lariat crew not only discusses all the G1 matches from Saturday until Monday, but they also rate every single performer's G1 tournament. STRIGGA & Dylan return with their coverage of the Osaka doubleheader of this year's G1 Climax tunament. They not only talk about every single of the 10 tournament matches themselves, but also go in depth on Toru Yano and his appeal to casual wrestling fans. That's not all though! In more in depth discussions the Eastern Lariat team touch on the tournament so far for Will Ospreay and Shingo Takagi and they also break down the SANADA and Jay White characters and what clearly sets them apart. The Eastern Lariat returns with a new show covering the G1 Climax triple header that saw some outstanding matches between Thursday and Saturday and after 7 events of the tour STRIGGA & Dylan name their top 5 matches of the tournament. Before going to the main topic of the show though STRIGGA runs down some news and notes on Guts World, 666, Big Japan, ZERO1, All Japan, Jiro “Ikemen” Kuroshio and Takayamania.

The holiday Umi no Hi traditionally is a very busy day in japanese pro wrestling so STRIGGA & Dylan at first focus on DDT's Wrestle Peter Pan show from Ota Ward Gymnasium before going over the G1 Climax show from Hokkaido that saw Jay White vs. Tomohiro Ishii and Tetsuya Naito vs. Taichi. In a rare preview the Eastern Lariat crew talks about the big Dragon Gate Kobe Pro-Wrestling Festival that will see the return of Ultimo Dragon and towards the end they debate Jun Akiyama stepping down as president of All Japan Pro Wrestling.

It's this time of the year! STRIGGA & Dylan return to action with their review of the Ota Ward double header of the G1 Climax that saw some great matches for the G1 Climax beginning on japanese soil after it started in the United States. The Eastern Lariat crew discusses all the matches, stories and possible routes for some of the wrestlers and they also look a little bit more behind some of the characters and their motivations like Jay White, Hiroshi Tanahashi or KENTA.

With a crazy weekend of rumors surrounding Gedo STRIGGA & Dylan are back with a new episode discussing what led to STRIGGA tweeting about Gedo allegedly stepping down from the booking position of NJPW. Amidst all this turmoil the G1 Climax announcements can't be forgotten though and so the Eastern Lariat crew goes over both blocks, picks their favorites, runner ups, dark horses and the overall winner. How does the tournament compare to last year's? What about the drop outs and the newly added participants? Time for Dominion! STRIGGA & Dylan look back at one of the biggest and most important New Japan shows of the year since this is always kind of a midway point of New Japan's business year. The 28th G1 Climax is over and not only does New Japan Pro Wrestling have a survivor, but we are survivors as well, because for 19 events this tournament has been an incredible ride.
