Marruecos anuncia más de 2.000 fallecidos. El Ministerio de Interior del país ha elevado a 2.122 el número de muertos por el terremoto que sacudió Marrakech. Un terremoto que se ha considerado como el más violento en un siglo con una magnitud, recordemos, de 7 en la escala Richter. La tragedia ha desatado un movimiento de solidaridad y ayuda de la comunidad internacional, que ha comenzado a movilizarse para colaborar en la búsqueda de supervivientes y en las labores de desescombro después de que Marruecos haya aceptado la ayuda de cuatro países: España, Reino Unido, Emiratos Árabes y Catar.
El ministro de Exteriores en funciones, José Manuel Albares, ha trasladado que el Gobierno ha activado los equipos de salvamento y de rescate.
El equipo de Búsqueda y Rescate Urbano (USAR) de la Unidad Militar de Emergencias, la UME, del ejército compuesto por 56 militares y 4 perros ha aterrizado en Marrakech. La ministra de Defensa en funciones, Margarita Robles, ha trasladado que todo el trabajo para colaborar en la búsqueda y rescate de supervivientes del devastador terremoto está siendo coordinado con las autoridades marroquíes.
La muerte de Emma Igual, cooperante española, a manos de un proyectil ruso ha generado reacciones. El ministro de Presidencia en funciones, Félix Bolaños, ha trasladado el pésame del Gobierno a la familia, y ha responsabilizado al líder ruso, Vladimir Putin, al igual que Margarita Robles. La vicepresidenta segunda del Gobierno en funciones, el líder del Partido Popular y el jefe del Ejecutivo en funciones, Yolanda Díaz, Alberto Núñez Feijóo y Pedro Sánchez, respectivamente, también se han pronunciado al respecto y han mandado condolencias.
En la India, ha finalizado la cumbre del G20. Una cumbre que para el ministro de Exteriores ruso, Sergei Lavrov, ha sido exitosa. Sin embargo, para el presidente francés, Emmanuel Macron, no ha sido una victoria rusa. Por otro lado, el primer ministro de la India, Narendra Modi, ha cedido la presidencia del G20 al presidente de Brasil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.
En esa cumbre, la vicepresidenta económica en funciones, Nadia Calviño, ha vuelto a referirse a la entrada de Arabia Saudí en Telefónica y ha trasladado un mensaje de tranquilidad asegurando un Gobierno de Pedro Sánchez en España.
Y en casa, quedan tres semanas para la investidura. Todo esto en una jornada en la que sube el precio de la luz casi un 15% hasta los 116,94 euros el megavatio hora.

Esta pasada noche se ha producido un terremoto que ha sacudido Marrakech, conocida por su patrimonio histórico y que atrae a numerosos turistas cada año, y que se ha considerado como el más violento con una magnitud de 7 en la escala Richter. El Ministerio de Interior de Marruecos ha elevado, por el momento, a 1.037 el número de fallecidos y ha situado en 1.204 la cifra de heridos.
El Ministerio del Interior, a través de la Dirección General de Protección Civil y Emergencias, ha activado este sábado el Comité Estatal de Apoyo Internacional de Protección Civil "para poder dar una respuesta inmediata en el caso de que las autoridades de Marruecos soliciten ayuda" tras el terremoto.
La comunidad internacional se vuelca con Marruecos. Mandatarios y gobiernos de diferentes partes del mundo han ofrecido ayuda a Marruecos. Entre los mandatarios europeos que han expresado sus condolencias y apoyo figuran el Rey de España, Felipe VI; la primera ministra italiana, Giorgia Meloni; el presidente de Francia, Emmanuel Macron y el líder de Rusia, Vladimir Putin, entre otros. Fuera de Europa, el presidente de Estados Unidos, Joe Biden, también ha ofrecido ayuda al país.
Desde España, el presidente del Gobierno en funciones, Pedro Sánchez, ha mandado sus condolencias a través de Twitter. En la misma tónica se ha pronunciado el líder popular, Alberto Núñez Feijóo.
La tragedia de Marruecos también ha protagonizado buena parte de la cumbre del G20 en Nueva Delhi, en India. El primer ministro indio, Narenda Modi, ha tendido su mano para ayudar al país de África. El consenso sobre la guerra en Ucrania ha dividido a los países, Estados Unidos, la India, Arabia Saudí y otros países han anunciado un megaproyecto de ferrocarriles, puertos y conexiones energéticas que pretende ser una alternativa a la Ruta de la Seda de China. También se ha tratado la reestructuración de la deuda, el cambio climático y se ha incluido a la Unión Africana en el grupo de países desarrollados y emergentes.
En Nueva Delhi también ha estado la vicepresidenta económica en funciones, Nadia Calviño, en sustitución del presidente del Gobierno de España en funciones, Pedro Sánchez, por haber dado positivo en covid. Allí, ha aprovechado para contestar a la vicepresidenta segunda del Gobierno en funciones, Yolanda Díaz, después de que la también ministra de Trabajo en funciones pidiese la paralización de la compra de la saudí del 9,9% de Telefónica. Calviño ha replicado a Díaz que se garantizarán los intereses de España.
Con el reloj corriendo para la investidura, la ministra portavoz en funciones del Gobierno, Isabel Rodríguez, ha vuelto a rechazar una nueva reunión entre el PSOE y Feijóo. Todo esto en una jornada en la que el secretario de Economía del PP, Juan Bravo, ha denunciado la fuerte subida de la vuelta al colegio para las familias españolas.
En lo que afecta a nuestros bolsillos, la luz sube mañana un 1,36% hasta los 102,07 euros el megavatio hora.
Mañana el paraguas será nuestro mejor aliado.

Casi una semana después de la DANA que ha azotado a buena parte de España con fuerza, han hallado dos cadáveres en Madrid. La Guardia Civil y los servicios de emergencias han hallado este viernes un segundo cadáver en Aldea del Fresno.
La Fiscalía ha presentado este viernes en la Audiencia Nacional una querella contra el presidente suspendido de la Real Federación Española de Fútbol, Luis Rubiales, a quien ha pedido investigar por delitos de agresión sexual y coacción es en relación al beso que dio a la jugadora Jenni Hermoso tras la final del mundial en Sídney.
La portavoz del partido socialista, Pilar Alegría, ha rechazado una nueva reunión con el líder del Partido Popular, Alberto Núñez Feijóo. Esto se produce después de la oferta de éste para tener otro contacto con los socialistas para “buscar un encaje del problema territorial de Cataluña” con un pacto de Estado y sin amnistía. En este sentido, la secretaria general del PP, Cuca Gamarra, ha deplorado que el PSOE prefiere echarse en los brazos de un prófugo de la justicia como Carles Puigdemont.
La ministra de Defensa en funciones, Margarita Robles, estudiará la entrada de Arabia en Telefónica con mucho rigor. Además, la vicepresidenta segunda del Gobierno en funciones, Yolanda Díaz, ha señalado que no se puede permitir que esta operación continúe.
En terreno internacional, la guerra de Ucrania protagonizará la reunión del G20. Una reunión a la que no acudirán ni el presidente ruso, Vladimir Putin, ni el chino, Xi Jinpin. La vicepresidenta económica en funciones, Nadia Calviño, sustituirá al jefe del Ejecutivo en funciones, Pedro Sánchez, después de haber dado positivo en COVID.
En casa, en Sevilla despiden a María Jiménez, la luz baja un 3% hasta situarse en los 100,7 euros el megavatio hora y el IBEX 35 rompe con una racha de siete caídas consecutivas.

André Aranha Corrêa do Lago is the former ambassador of Brazil to India. A recognised architecture critic and writer, has has been a member of the prestigious Pritzker Prize jury, and has served as the curator of the Brazilian Pavilion in the 2014 Venice Architecture Biennale. Between 2011 and 2013, he was also Brazil's Chief Negotiator for Climate Change and Sustainable Development, including for the Rio+20 UN Conference, which launched the Sustainable Development Goals. Between 2005 to 2016, André served as a member of the Architecture and Design Committee of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), New York, and is currently a member of the International Council of MoMA.
Anirudh Suri is a nonresident scholar with Carnegie India. His interests lie at the intersection of technology and geopolitics, climate, and strategic affairs.
