    The Meta-Cron - pre-season 44

    The Meta-Cron - pre-season 44

Welcome to The Meta-Cron!  This is a monthly show focusing on the datacron meta, and only the DC meta, between GAC seasons.  We talk about DC acquisition, stats, thoughts and more with the goal of focusing on the ten (10) best value PvP datacrons across all game modes (3v3 GAC, 5v5 GAC & TW).

Summarized (not enough space for full) notes from YouTube:

    - Amazing 5.

Jedi, all game modes - x2 (yes, this counts for 2)
    - SpeedUp, Foresight Stacking, QGJ/Cal, AP, Offense/CD
    - QGJ, Jedi Cal, JKR, JML (basically everything)
    - The mainstay in all game modes.  It's hard to imagine this not being good against the next set, either - it's just all around very powerful and has no particular requirements for new characters.  The minimum you'll want is two, but the reality is you will probably want to have 3-5 of them for your various Jedi teams.

    Clones, all game modes
    - SpeedUp, Stacking, any, AP, Offense/CD
    - 501st/Bad Batch
    - There are MANY varieties of this DC which are good, but the build listed here can be used anywhere.  It becomes more complicated in 3s and TW because of use for certain counters and team limitations (i.e. you will probably make a few more of these) but this is the core.

    Phoenix, 5v5 & TW
    - SpeedUp, Stacking, CapRex, AP, Offense/CD
    - Phoenix w/CapRex
    - Phoenix are quite sub-par in 3s but in both 5v5 and TW they are amazing and can kill a huge variety of teams (including GLs, depending on relative relic levels and team comps).  The best team is also quite variable depending on who you are up against, but this is absolutely a top team in the current meta.  The potential downside here is that many people still do not have their Phoenix even relic 3 (or r5 to use CapRex L9) but there are more and more who do every day.

    Wookies, all game modes
    - SpeedUp, Stun, any, AP/Offense, CritAvoid/CD/CC
    - Anywhere there are wookiees - and there are a lot of places.  CLS, Dash, Resistance, etc
    - This is NOT the Tarfful team.  While that is a very good team, for most people there will still be a number of places they have wookiees to use along with another LS team.  Having the stun L6 is incredible especially on the CLS team, but also quite nice in Dash or comps or even Resistance (even under Rey, there are some strange theorycrafting things going on there).

    - Good 5.
    JMK, all game modes
    - SpeedUp, Stacking, any, AP/CD/Offense
    - JMK with anyone
    - This is probably least valuable in TW (though it's still used there), but everywhere else this is an excellent DC.  Even in 3s when you are mainly just stacking JMK himself it really makes some diffcult counters far more reliable.

    Tarfful, all game modes
    - SpeedUp OR Dispel, Foresight+Defense stacking, Tarfful, AP/Offense, Crit Chance
    - Tarfful lead wookiees
    - This requires a very specific team (I mean, all wookiees, but there's not so many of them) but with this DC it is an amazing team.  The downside is that after the DC is gone it will be a rather mediocre team... but if you can get it running it'll be a great team for the next 3 months.

    Cody Clones, 5v5 & TW
    - SpeedUp, Clone stacking, Cody, Crit Chance, AP/Offense/CritDmg
    - Cody lead Clones (501st/BB/Sarge)
    - This is the only infinite loop team available.  The only reason it's not ranked higher is because it requires a rather niche DC and you really should run it with the 501st to make sure you can keep the loop going.  GAS/501st with s9 is also a fantastic team so this is a big ask currently AND there are really no GLs this team can work well against at the top levels.  Nonetheless, infinite loop teams are very rare and especially ones with no damage cap.

    The Meta Minute(s) - Season 43 after week 1

    The Meta Minute(s) - Season 43 after week 1

The Meta Minute - GAC 43 after W1 Teams and Analysis

This is a short version of The Meta, looking specifically at trends after week1 to try and capitalize on for week two and week three.  Teams, datacrons, units, strategy, etc - let's see what we can cover in 10 minutes or less!

Adding a copy of the notes from the YouTube video:

    Teams/Units;
    - Jabba cleanup; MM KK Cass has about 60%.  Only fails are vs about 250%+ def and/or really low relic MM teams.

    - Jabba cleanup; Hera Rex Sabine is also easy win if your team is all relic'd. L9 doesn't really matter.  L6 stacking helps but not 100% required

    - Jabba cleanup; SK & Aphra easy near-100%s

    - Vader Reva Maul; SLKR Wat + Armorer or tank.  Without Wat still possible, but mostly a DC and/or Maul/Armorer speed comparison

    - Vader Thrawn Maul; very much shuts down non-GL teams.  Otherwise JMK or SLKR both work.

    - Jabba Krr BLO; no reliable single-shots besides SLKR or JMK.  See the connection?

    - Traya on D?  Possible but Padme Gideon kills so many of them.

    - Tarf Zaal + L9; VERY good.  Besides SK, Aphra, GAS - not many good options!  BB is NOT it.

    - Saw KK Cara; Wampa, Raddus and Iden.  Ehh.

    - Saw Chaze; a bit worse.  KK Cara is better.

    - Captain Rex; excellent!  Lots of options for him team-wise.  He requires a good team to be no matter what.  Lots and lots of 1st time drops.

    - QGJ w/ L6 stacking; holy moly.  Reva, Malgus or maaaaybe JKR.  Otherwise going to be a 2-shot.  Impressive.

    - GL "square"; Vader, Jabba, JMK, Rey... maybe something strange happening with SEE/Savage.  Gamble with Reva though.

    - Obligatory ships: until Levi changes, no changes since last week.
