The Black Aesthetic in the Age of Globalization
The 17th annual Addison Gayle Memorial Lecture Series features Dr. Simon Gikandi, a Robert Schirmer Professor of English at Princeton University. The title of his talk is "The Black Aesthetic in the Age of Globalization."
This lecture series is named in honor of Addison Gayle, Jr., CUNY Distinguished Professor of English, who taught at Baruch College for many years until his death in October 1991.
Jeffrey M. Peck, Dean of the Weissman School of Arts and Sciences, makes the welcoming remarks.
