About 4 months ago, we were preparing for the possibility that we would lose our beloved mother to COVID. Today Mama Gene joins us on Take the Elevator to share her miracle story and to celebrate her second chance at life. She has a few messages for all especially for those who have loved ones in a nursing facility; for those who prayed for her as she was fighting for her life; and for those who were a constant presence during this crisis for her family. Today we talk about so many different things concerning growth and healing. We honor both the Vietnam War Veterans and the Vietnamese along with the 3 million lives killed during the 2nd longest running war. We pay tribute to our doctors and emphasize the importance of the patient-doctor relationship and it being a matter of life or death in most instances. We introduce our line up of women elevators for March and discuss how being in the present; exercising mindfulness; holding gratitude to high esteem; and recognizing how our past moves us into our future are key components of assisting those in distress including ourselves.
