E2. How to Get Paid to Write: Turn Your Book into a Profitable Business with Trina Gunzel

Welcome back to The Rebel Maker! In episode two, we’re talking about what everyone wants to know as they start to think about packaging their expertise and writing a book: How do you actually get paid for it?
It doesn’t matter if you want to write a book to fulfill a dream, get more visible, or establish credibility, we all want the same thing – to get paid, sell books, and see an ROI after all the sweat, blood, and tears poured into those pages.
So, I invited a pro to talk about that with me today, Trina Gunzel. She’s an author, speaker, international trainer, business consultant, and next-level life breakthrough coach. Trina specializes in small groups and big profits as she designs custom family-friendly business models that are built on strengths, skills, and talents.

    Noteworthy quote from this episode:
“It's not really about the book. It's not really about book sales. This is totally about opening doors, creating visibility, establishing yourself. It is about having more to give them outside of the book.”

146: How to Monetize Your Podcast with Anne Claessen

146: How to Monetize Your Podcast with Anne Claessen

One of the biggest questions I get when I tell people I run a podcast is… how do you get paid? Monetizing a podcast can feel daunting, especially if you don’t want to turn your show into one big ad and fear that you don’t have enough downloads to justify getting paid.

I’m chatting with Podcast Monetizing expert Anne Claessen on how to monetize your podcast – so if you have a show or are thinking about launching one – today’s episode is for you!

    In this episode, you’ll learn:

    • How Anne followed her gut, took a risk, and now does what she loves
    • What it takes to continue podcasting past the first 7 episodes
    • Practical ways to monetize your small podcast audience
    • It’s your podcast, you get to do what you want with it
    • Best practices for the 3 different types of podcast ads
    • Tips to promote your own services or products in your podcast
    • Sponsorships, their benefits for everyone, and how to navigate them
    • How to grow your podcast exponentially

After finishing her Law Degree and MBA in 2018, Anne knew that she didn’t want to spend 80 hours working a corporate job. So, she left her home country, backpacked South East Asia, and worked a handful of crappy jobs in Australia and knew there had to be a way to travel and make money. She now runs The Podcast Babes, helping podcasters use their podcast strategically, make passive income, and increase their impact, all while traveling the world, working from her laptop.

E13: Podcasts and Getting Paid with Claire Pelletreau

E13: Podcasts and Getting Paid with Claire Pelletreau

Claire Pelletreau is the host of the top-rated Get Paid Podcast where she asks successful business owners the questions we all want to ask, like, “How much money do you make? And how much do you have to pay to make that money?”

When she’s not launching new podcast episodes, Claire simplifies the complex world of Facebook and Instagram advertising to help her clients create a significant impact in their business.

“I had started to make more and more connections with other consultants, experts, and thought leaders, but I couldn't figure out how they were making the kind of money they were making. So I figured the best way to ask them was a private conversation that I then get to air. They get to promote themselves. And I get the answers.

I didn't start the [Get Paid Podcast] to share all of this with listeners, but I just wanted to know myself!” – Claire Pelletreau

    We discussed:

[05:42] Why Claire started the Get Paid Podcast
[10:20] Gender differences in how entrepreneurs pay themselves
[16:29] How to know if your podcast has an ROI
[18:30] Using ads to grow your podcast listenership
[24:14] Why should we try paid ads?
[32:15] Pivoting to Get Paid Marketing
[41:03] Deciding if content should be paid, gated, or free

Have you ever wanted to be an influencer online? Of course you have. Who wouldn't want to get paid just to live your life, post some things and have brands send you money. Sounds like a great side hustle but it's not easy. This is the world Antony Demekhin lives in and has a focus on music rights for the creator space.

Antony is also a classically trained musician, entertainment marketer, entrepreneur, hip-hop head and tech junkie.

For fun he has been a speaker and jury member at industry events including Digital Music Week, Cannes Lions, Dubai Lynx, Midem and CMJ Marathon.

Join us today to lear nore about the intersection of music, crypto, blockchain technology and the revolution of NFT's on the creator space.

Dustin is here to tell us about REI Deal Closers, a company that specializes in taking your dead leads and closing the deal, making sure you get paid.

What does REI Deal Closers do? REI Deal Closers will work with you and JV on deals if you already have a contract. If you bring your dead leads to them, they will work them and get you paid. They look at dead leads all across the country. REI Deal closers works with people who have a wholesaling business. Maybe you are working on growing your business and you have some leads that don’t quite fit your wholesale model. Maye the deal wasn’t quite right, or the seller wants to sell but not low enough that it makes sense to wholesale or flip the property. Bring your dead leads to REI Deal Closers and if they close, you get paid. If they are following up on your dead leads, you can focus on your zone of genius. It’s truly beneficial for everyone.

Dustin’s advice: connect with other people on your team and in your group. Get some accountability partners and check in with each other so see if anyone needs help. Role play with them to practice. Network. If you are an introvert, this may be hard but networking is so important. It is critical.

The truth is that your dead leads might not be dead and gone. Let REI Deal Closers handle these deals for you, so you get paid. It takes the stress and pressure off of you so you can focus on your other wholesale ventures.
