Ep141 - last gasp agony for Bristol at Sandy Park and the visit of Gloucester to the Gate

Feelings run high in BBTG Towers as the Bears fall to a 22-21 defeat away at Exeter despite playing with an extra man for 60 minutes. A high penalty count and some costly errors mean the Bears lose another winnable game and face a last-day battle for a Champions Cup place for next term.

Hear our thoughts on the game, tactics and levels of commitment as Bristol came up just short yet again this season.

We also look ahead to Gloucester's visit to the Gate on Coronation Day, discuss the Women's semi-final defeat to Exeter in the Allianz Cup and give our thoughts on the news that Iona Lloyd and Sam Jeffries are to depart at the end of the season.

All this and more with Miles, Lee, Pete and TC.

In this week's show we reminisce about the Bears 26-18 victory over South Africa A in front of a record-breaking attendance at Ashton Gate.

The boys discuss the game and the off-pitch events this made this game one that will live long in the memory. But find out why Lee had to raise a Gets My Goat from Thursday night.

We also discuss Bristols 38-31 loss away to Gloucester in the Premiership Cup and the Women's convincing opening league victory against Wasps.

We look ahead to the next league game against Sale, mourn the loss of Brizzley Bear and comment on his successor and round up this weekend's international action.

There's an invitation to Bears' CEO Tom Tainton and Bristol's favourite sports broadcaster to come on the show. All this and more with Lee, Miles, Pete, Tony and the return of the Christmas Tree.

Ep119 - Bears fall to narrow loss in Kingsholm thriller

Ep119 - Bears fall to narrow loss in Kingsholm thriller

In this episode we discuss the narrow 31-28 loss to Gloucester at Kinsgholm. After chastening defeats to Newcastle and Exeter this was an improved performance by Bristol, even if some basic errors cost us dear. Hear our thoughts on player performances and the key points from the game.

We also talk about the A Team's game at Exeter and the Women's cup game against Loughborough Lightening. There's also our thoughts on Wasps likely demise and rumours that the Bears might be looking at Dan Robson as scrum half cover.

All this and more with Lee, Miles, Pete and Tony.

Ep109 - Bears win Rifles Cup, Tigers preview, open training session and Frisch to depart

Ep109 - Bears win Rifles Cup, Tigers preview, open training session and Frisch to depart

What a difference a week makes. After European disappointment last week the Bears bounced back with a late 29-28 win over Gloucester to win the Rifles Cup.

With Semi out for the rest of the season and many of our other stars unavailable the match day squad did the club proud to snatch a late win despite Sam Bedlow's red card. Hear our thoughts on the game and player performances.

We also talk to the Leicester fan's podcast about our next game away at Welford Road. After a Christmas ding-dong at the Gate and the controversial finish to the game at Leicester last season this could be a spicy encounter. Hear our thoughts on team selection and our result predictions.

Ep106 - Disappointing defeats to Gloucester and Northampton, contract woes and Sale preview

Ep106 - Disappointing defeats to Gloucester and Northampton, contract woes and Sale preview

Not a great week for the Bears with disappointing loss against Gloucester in the Premiership Cup quickly followed by a league defeat away at Northampton. Hear our thoughts on the player performances, tactics and where it all went wrong... again.

To make a bad week on the field worse, news broke of Bristolian Dave Attwood's departure at the end of the season to join Bath. Then the Daily Telegraph's  revelation that a contract mess up means six players who were due to leave the club have been given one year extensions, due to a missed deadline, leaving a reported £400k gap in our salary budget for next season.

We discuss the how the gap may be filled and what big names might be on their way out to balance the books.

Plus our preview of the European game away at Sale with our friends from The Shark Tank podcast.

All this and more on this week's show.

Ep91 - Bears slip to defeat at Kingsholm and will we play Scarlets or not?

Ep91 - Bears slip to defeat at Kingsholm and will we play Scarlets or not?

In this week's show we discuss Bristol's dissapointing 27-10 defeat away at Kingsholm. With possible our strongest match-day squad of the season, expectations were raised but not matched by the result.

We talk about the performances, tactics and ask when will the Bears start to click again?

There's also the start of our European Champions Cup campaign at home to Scarlets this weekend. But with the bulk of the Welsh team's squad not out of COVID-19 isolation until 24 hours before the game what's going to happen?

Will we face a patched up Scarlets XV or will the game be forfeited to protect player welfare. Hear our thoughts on the show.

All this and more with Tony, Lee, Miles, Pete and our guest tree!

Ep73 - Three thousand Bears back at the Gate for the Gloucester game

Ep73 - Three thousand Bears back at the Gate for the Gloucester game

It was the moment we'd all been waiting for as Ashton Gate opened the turnstiles once more to fans after 435 days away. In what will go down as one of the most memorable games for many a year, Bristol Bears recorded a comfortable 39-7 win against Gloucester.

The five-point win keeps Bristol top of the pile but, as well as the returning fans, this bizarre match will be remembered not so much for the five tries Bristol scored but the seven they didn't score! A combination of small handling errors and more TMO reviews than ever before kept the scoreline much lower than the scintillating rugby could have delivered.

We give our first-hand experiences of being back in the stadium and out thoughts on the match, tactics and player performances.

This Tuesday night special was recorded by Tony, Lee and Pete, as Miles is still 'missing in action'.

Ep72 - Bears sweep Bath away with rampant second half performance

Ep72 - Bears sweep Bath away with rampant second half performance

In this week's show discuss Bristol's record league win against our old foes at the Rec. Despite gifting Bath a 15 point lead in the opening 30 minutes, the Bears came strong to record another bonus-point win to stay eight points clear at the top of the table. We discuss the tactics, performances and that Kyle Sinckler interview.

We also look ahead to the visit of Gloucester on Monday 17 May as we welcome fans back into Ashton Gate. We talk to Ed Price form the Cherry Jam Podcast to get the lowdown on Gloucester and what we can expect from our rivals up the M5.

All this and more on this week's show with Tony, Lee, Miles and Pete,

Ep60 - Bristol retain the Rifles Cup with narrow win at Kingsholm

Ep60 - Bristol retain the Rifles Cup with narrow win at Kingsholm

In this week's show we review the 18-17 Bristol victory away at Gloucester. We got the win in the end but it was a mis-firing performance by the Bears at Kingsholm not helped by gifting two interception tries. Was it the weather? Was it the absence of certain key players, or was it just one of those days?

We look ahead to the next game away at London Irish at their new home - the Brentford Community Stadium. We interview the chair of the London Irish Supporters Club to find out about their season so far, players to watch and his prediction for the game.

We also give our thoughts on the news that relegation is scrapped this year; the performances of some of our international players in the Six Nations; and a new Bristol cafe that is a 'must' for any thirsty Bears' fans.

All this and more on today's show that was recorded on Valentine's Day. Do you feel the love?

Ep59 - Sale bring Bristol's winning run to an end and the Rifles Cup preview

Ep59 - Sale bring Bristol's winning run to an end and the Rifles Cup preview

In this week's show we reflect on the 20-13 defeat at home to Sale Sharks. The team from 'up north' brought their A game to Ashton Gate and stifled our attack. We ask what can we learn from this loss and its impact on our season.

There's a preview of our next game away at local rivals Gloucester. Not just another Premiership game, we are also looking to retain the Rifles Cup that's awarded to the winners of the league matches between Bristol and Gloucester. With our friends from Kingsholm having a torrid season, will Bristol get back to winning ways?

We also talk about the sad news that Bristol legend, John Pullin, passed away last week. Whilst playing for the club, John won 42 England caps and captained his country as well as taking part in two Lions tours. We give our thoughts on what the club should do to recognise his illustrious playing career.

All this and more with Lee, Miles, Pete and Tony.

Ep39 - Bristol Bears do double over Gloucester and season card renewals

Ep39 - Bristol Bears do double over Gloucester and season card renewals

In this week's show we review the memorable 24-33 victory over Gloucester at Kingsholm. This is Bristol Bears first win their since 2006 and we once again retain the Rifles Cup. New signing Semi Radradra caught the eye with a stunning first half performance but who else did we think had a good game.

We discuss Pat's team selection for the first midweek fixture against Exeter Chiefs on Tuesday and consider what this may mean for the squad to travel to Sale on Saturday. The boys give their score predictions for both games - will you agree with our thoughts?

Finally we discuss the new season card prices, the reduction in the payments scheme from 10 months to 5 and the club's failure to provide accurate credit figures to this year's season ticket holders.

We finish off by answering your comments and questions from social media.

Also find out why co-presenter, Lee, is keeping a low profile this week.

We also give our opinions on the unfolding Saracens saga and give our thoughts on the Six Nations. In this week’s Gets My Goat, Miles unleashes his frustration. There’s nothing bottled up, that’s for sure.
