The Bread of Life - The Gospels

The Bread of Life - The Gospels

In this Bible Story, Jesus speaks hard truths about being the bread of life. He speaks of how he was sent by God from heaven, and whoever eats his flesh and drinks his blood would inherit eternal life. Although Jesus spoke metaphorically, his words cause many to leave. However the disciples stayed, for they knew that only Jesus held the words of eternal life. This story is inspired by John 6:22-71 & Matthew 15:21-28 & Mark 7:24-30. Go to BibleinaYear.com and learn the Bible in a Year.

Today's Bible verse is John 6:35 from the King James Version.

Episode 194: The very next day as He and His disciples were on the other side of the sea, the crowd had tracked Him down. They wanted another miracle but Jesus cared more about their hearts than their bellies. And as Jesus was trying to teach them these things, they became confused and frustrated. The teaching was too hard for many of those in the crowd to accept, so they left. Later on, the disciples that stayed learned a lesson about God’s grace to those outside of the family of Israel, as a Canaanite woman begged the Jewish Messiah for help, hope, and healing.

EP 62: Testimony - Losing my mother and its pain but, the Lord is faithful

In this episode, I share the testimony of losing my mother. This is something that no one is ready to experience. Many have gone before me and can relate to the pain of loss. Mothers are special. The Lord was so faithful through the death of my father and then the death of my mother. May this podcast encourage those who have lost their mothers. It is painful but the Lord heals us in every way, if we let him.

Jehoshaphat and Ahab - The Books of 1 Kings & 2 Chronicles

Jehoshaphat and Ahab - The Books of 1 Kings & 2 Chronicles

In this Bible Story, Jehoshaphat becomes king over Judah and rules righteously. He sends out teachers and priests to care for the people, and teach them God’s ways. However, his alliance with Ahab the King of Israel proves to be unwise, as Ahab leads them into an unwinnable battle. This story is inspired by 1 Kings 22 & 2 Chronicles 17-19:3. Go to BibleinaYear.com and learn the Bible in a Year.

Today's Bible verse is 2 Chronicles 17:10 from the King James Version.

Episode 126: Jehoshaphat, King of Judah, spent his time fortifying cities and tearing down idols. He also sent teachers and priests to the surrounding territories so that they might know God. What the King was doing became so influential that even other nations such as the Philistines took notice and sent tribute. Jehoshaphat wanted to extend this peace to his brothers in Israel, so he made an alliance with King Ahab. During their celebration, King Ahab requested Jehoshaphat’s help in reclaiming some territory. But Jehoshaphat wanted to hear from the Lord first. So Micaiah was called in and prophesied that this battle would be King Ahab’s last.

The Mighty Storm - The Book of Acts

The Mighty Storm - The Book of Acts

In this Bible Story, Paul endures storms and shipwrecks with his captors on their journey to Rome. The winds and waves are relentless, and the hope of the men is fading. The men are left shipwrecked and defeated on the shores of Malta. This story is inspired by Acts 27. Go to BibleinaYear.com and learn the Bible in a Year.

Today's Bible verse is Acts 27:44 from the King James Version.

Episode 240: As Paul was on the ocean on his way to trial, Luke was by his side and the two of them enjoyed a brief reprieve, chatting with the sailors in the open air. However, on their way to Crete, a powerful storm came upon them and began to break the ship apart and flood it with water. But God came to Paul and reassured him that he and the crew would make it to Rome. The storm continued to rage a few more days and then finally let up. As they were about to run the ship aground it caught reef and broke apart. Just as the soldiers were getting ready to kill the prisoners to keep them from escaping, the centurion ordered them to stop for the sake of Paul.
