Covid Chess and Gonzo is GAY

Covid Chess and Gonzo is GAY

The White House is playing Chess with all these new "make it up as you go" Covid restriction ideas. No one ever said that going from 4 years of growth and prosperity and switching hard, uber left, to Communism was gonna be easy...... Come on Man!!

Biden and the rest of those NWO loving shi*heads in DC are falling apart and they know it. They need a "TRUMP" for a demon - but they have a much bigger and real problem!!

    Checkmate...

PS Just so you'll know. GONZO from Muppet Babies is a cross dresser. We can only hope that they get his Muppet Ass some hormone blockers immediately! You go GONZARELLA! You be the "you" that you choose to be. It's so WOKE to teach this to 4 year olds. An amazing time to be alive.

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
After last week's traverse through Sin City, we thought we'd put up our feet and stay awhile before the check bounces with Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Terry Gilliam's 1998 adaptation of Hunter S. Thompson's groundbreaking gonzo classic! We take our spin at the proverbial roulette wheel by diving into the complicated nature of adapting Thompson's signature prose, assessing where this fits in the pantheon of one J̶o̶h̶n̶n̶y̶ ̶D̶e̶p̶p̶ Jonathan Debt, what made Gilliam an uncanny choice to finally realize a project which had long resided in developmental Hell, and marvel at the glorious paunch of the just as glorious Benicio del Toro. Midweek Mention... Fear And Loathing in Las Vegas

Midweek Mention... Fear And Loathing in Las Vegas

FEAR AND LOATHING IN LAS VEGAS sees Terry Gilliam bringing Hunter S. Thompson's Rolling-Stone magazine article-turned book covering the Mint 400 motorcycle race to life. 2 hours of drugs and debauchery, but what about the film?

We love to hear from our listeners! By which I mean we tolerate it. If it hasn't been completely destroyed yet you can usually find us on twitter @dads_film, on Facebook Bad Dads Film Review, on email at baddadsjsy@gmail.com or on our website baddadsfilm.com.

    Until next time, we remain...

    The Muppet Show

    The Muppet Show
It's time to play the music, it's time to light the lights, it's time to convince Tony of The Muppet Show's greatness on WDWM tonight! With the news that Disney+ had added The Muppet Show to its catalog, Tony admitted to a deep, dark secret: he doesn't really get the Muppets. Life long Muppet fan, Matt, jumps in to save the day and guide Tony through all of the ins and outs of the weird world of Kermit, Miss Piggy, Gonzo, and company. They talk about the pressure and expectations of being a first time viewer of a beloved show, the non-controversy surrounding the disclaimer attached to a handful of episodes, the show's terrific balance of allowing the guests to be themselves while still maintaining a space for plenty of Muppet hijinks, and its influences that range from vaudeville to old Hollywood musicals and yet still rooted in character based humor.

Your Head Is A Haunted House

Your Head Is A Haunted House

It's our first Halloween Special here in the Void! And much like the sugary confections one fills a cotton-blended pillow case with, tonight's episode is a proverbial grab bag of haunted delights. We've got five brand new frequencies to score your Halloween weekend with. Some new faces, returning favorites and, as always, the looming foreboding dread of our haunted pasts and unknowable futures. Fun! Tonight we present you: a trio of trick or treaters who find themselves the victims of local lore ('Apples', written by Andrew Shanks); a gonzo-fueled night of cannibalistic desires ('The Locus of Locusts No More', written by Barracuda Guarisco); a mourning couple and some vengeful house decor ('Smother', written by Maggie Lee); A kafkaesque apartment story ('The Duvet Will Never Be Clean', written by Bret Fetzer) and some thirsty gothic whimsy to close us out ('The Curse of Wolf Hollow', written by Kelleen Conway Blanchard).

Our voice ensemble this episode is Paris Arrowsmith, Laura Lee Caudill, Monica Domena, Skyler Gahley, Mandy Rose Nichols, Sarah Rose Nottingham, Shane Regan, Chad Sommerville, Alexandria Stevens and Lyam White.

Tonight’s music performance provided by kohm! Their album, Moss Covered Soul is available now on Spotify and Apple Music.

Stay safe this Halloween, and we'll see you in the void.

The MovieByte Podcast #83: They Want a Sequel

The MovieByte Podcast #83: They Want a Sequel
Join Chad and TJ to talk about concepts for an Apple TV refresh, Acapella Mario and other late ‘80s/early ‘90s games, Andy Serkis directing the Warner Bros. version of ‘The Jungle Book’, thoughts on Pixar, ‘Newt’, ‘Cars 3’, ‘The Incredibles 2’ and more, Brian Tyler scoring ‘The Avengers 2’ instead of Alan Silvestri, and lots of other fun stuff. Plus, don’t miss TWO film reviews this week: ‘3 Days to Kill’, which TJ found to be passable but Chad pretty much as an active dislike for, and ‘Muppets Most Wanted’ which both agree is a great film. TJ may have enjoyed it a bit more however.

Limited Appeal - Johnzo the Cannonball Catcher

Limited Appeal - Johnzo the Cannonball Catcher
We start off this week by discussing the censorship of naughty and/or offensive lyrics. If you're an impressionable youth who can be unduly influenced by suggestive language, send us an email (maskedman@limitedappeal.net), and we'll fill your brain with all kinds of great ideas. Later, we have a chat about Gonzo the Muppet's sexual obsession with chickens. What the hell is Gonzo, anyway? And what does he get out of catching cannonballs? The definitive (or, one might say, the conanical) answers to these and other questions are certainly not in this episode. But have a listen anyway, will you? Theme music courtesy of General Patton vs. The X-Ecutioners and Ipecac Recordings.
