As we celebrate one year of Mom Treading Water, he and I discuss what makes a good dad and a good husband. 

He is supportive of me as his wife,  mother of his children, and a woman embarking on a new venture.    

Openly, he reminds me that sometimes the work and dedication as a father, husband, and primary breadwinner has its own set of stresses and challenges.   Communicating and understanding his perspectives has reminded me of his value and that as a mom, I don’t do it alone.
