Kuro, Kris, Timur und Marvin nehmen sich in dieser Folge das langersehnte JRPG - Granblue Fantasy Relink vor. Wurde es im Vorfeld von allen eher belächelt, drehte sich die Stimmung rapide während der zwei Stunden!

Man nehme Monster Hunter, haue eine bunte Anime Optik drüber, macht es etwas epischer und wir haben Granblue Fantasy: Relink. Was hat mir dieses Spiel Spaß gemacht! Ich war dennoch etwas enttäuscht, dass es so kurz ist für sein Genre, zumindest was die Story angeht. Gerade der Einstieg hätte mehr bieten können, stattdessen haben wir schon eine vollständige Gruppe und kümmern uns einfach um die Hauptquest. Mit den Schicksalsepisoden lernen wir zwar mehr über die Charaktere kennen, aber das hätte man doch besser in das Spiel integrieren können. Ebenso wie die Skills. Maximal vier Stück. Wenn ich nun an ein Tales of – Spiel denke, bei dem man auch gerne mal über 10 Skills gleichzeitig nutzen kann, ist das hier doch etwas dürftig. Aber dennoch macht das Spiel unheimlich viel Spaß! Man sollte aber dran denken, dass man die meiste Zeit in das Spiel investieren wird, wenn man mit der Story durch ist. Grinden ist dann nämlich angesagt. Egal ob man einen der aktuell 20 verschiedenen Charaktere levelt oder deren Waffen. Man ist zumindest gut beschäftigt. Und da das simple Gameplay unheimlich viel Spaß macht, ist das Grinden auch nicht ganz so schlimm. Wer noch nicht überzeugt ist, kann sich die Demo anschauen, aber von meiner Seite aus definitiv eine Empfehlung!

Hey Folks! Hopefully, everyone is staying warm this week with the big cold snap hitting the center of the country and more specifically impacting Bel and Thalen. This week we start off talking about the Rogue Trader CRPG and how it is doing a pretty solid job of moving the bar forward.  From there we talk a bit about the upcoming Granblue Fantasy Action RPG and how we have been waiting for it since 2017.  In shocking news, we talk about the City of Heroes Homecoming server and how it is officially licensed and we believe it is the first fan run emulator server project to achieve that status. 

 

Last Epoch is nearing its official 1.0 launch and with it a bunch more information about the Trade system came out this week so we dive into it for a bit and contrast it with our experiences from Path of Exile.  Peglin has released a bunch of updates and we talk a bit more about that phenomenal puzzle combat game.  Thalen shares some information about how Dungeons and Dragons Online is apparently just giving away a ton of content and selling a bunch of mission packs for cheap on top of it.  Tam finishes out the show talking about how it has taken him the better part of a year but he finally understands Star Trek Online.
