Episode 4: Shot's fired!! A call to Civics!

Episode 4: Shot's fired!! A call to Civics!

You don't need to be a history nerd or Media hound to understand the role of Civics in society.  Here, Papaw breaks down the two different types of Americans and why you need to know some basic information ... and why not knowing them is actually a hurting our children.

Buckle up, buttercup, Papaw's gonna hurt a lot of feelings on both sides of the isle before we break off into further episodes.

Oh ..... and dont bring a pen and paper.  This is straight off the cuff .... just like your Grandfather would have done.

Relationships: Ron and Debi Cathcart, Part 2

Relationships: Ron and Debi Cathcart, Part 2

In this episode you’ll hear part two of our conversation with the Cathcarts. With over 44 years knowing each other and 33 years of marriage, Ron and Debi know a thing or two about relationships! You’ll hear the conclusion of their first married fight from part one, a little insight on a real enemy of marriage, and their answers to some of our listener’s top questions. If you missed part one, go back to Episode 24 and check it out!

No matter what kind of relationships you carry this episode will bring you laughter, conviction, and hope! One of our favorite truths from the Cathcarts is that people will not complete you. It’s through their faith they learned to love God well, themselves, and each other in a healthy way. Now that’s something good, indeed.

    Favorite quotes from the episode:

    Quotes from Debi:

    • “God opens my eyes to things my husband really needs.”
    • “God, it doesn’t matter who is right or wrong. It matters that we display your spirit and your love.”
    • “God is not calling me to a feeling. He is calling me to an action.”
    • “Ladies, look for the good in your husbands.”
    • “If you look for the good you’ll find the good.”

    Quotes from Ron:

    • “Satan loves to take the differences between a husband and wife and escalate them into something that can be awful.”
    • “We want to serve people and we want to serve them well.”
    • “Jesus is the lead story. It’s not just a slogan. It’s true.”
    • To women: “There is no man out there who will complete you.”
    • “We’re 33 years into this and I’m still learning how to be the man God has called me to be.”

    Fun things from the episode:

    Ron mentioned the Rocky film

NEO420 TALKS - Censorship is REAL! Pelosi & Biden enemies of US! part 1

NEO420 TALKS - Censorship is REAL! Pelosi & Biden enemies of US! part 1

Pc breaks down the path of censorship and where it has taken US.

The big tech companies are the trojan horse of the global commie cabal trying to take down America.

The censorship started out online, then moved to in person, next small businesses, and now the events of January 6th 2021 in DC.

Pelosi tried to get the launch codes taken away from President. That is a coup!

Biden stated that Patriots and MAGA people are "domestic terrorists". That is not what we need in America is that is a sign he has completely sold out to globalists.

    Grandpa and the Psychic

    Grandpa and the Psychic
Will I ever see them again? This is the question we ask when someone we love pass away. Growing up atheist, Amy never knew the love of God. Instead, her void was filled by the love from her grandpa, but it was taken away quickly after he passed away. For 11 years, Amy tried not to think about the past, until she finally asked a psychic about his whereabouts... which miraculously led her right into God's heart. Join us on this episode to experience what it means to trust God, even when our loved ones are taken away too soon. Scripture reference: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.” Mark 12:30-31 Connect with us: Instagram | https://www.instagram.com/DrunkOnGod Website | https://www.DrunkOnGod.com

    #39 - James Carroll III
James Carroll III is apart of United States Navy in the Security Forces. This episode marks the 1 year anniversary of the podcast. One year ago, I dropped two episodes and one of them being Episode 2 with James Carroll Sr (our grandfather). So, this brings everything full circle for myself. In this episode, James shares his journey into the Navy and how his current experience in Spain has been. He mentions a lot about his inner struggles and battling demons with the help of therapy. We talk about our childhood growing up and the different circumstances we faced. Also, we discussed the importance of self healing and how intimidating it can be to start that process. Join us in this open and honest discussion about family, self healing, and mental health.

    X-Ray Technician: FOF 6

    X-Ray Technician: FOF 6
Putting the Suzanne debacle behind me, I developed a relationship with Martha, another pre-veterinary student attending UC Irvine, and moved into her apartment during my senior year at UCI. Following graduation, I took a full-time position as the x-ray technician at Grand Avenue Pet Hospital. It was a great opportunity. Being an x-ray tech at an animal hospital would look great on my vet school application. And I was lucky to land the position despite the fact I had no qualifications for the job nor any previous experience with an x-ray machine. My learning experience was a hands-on approach where learning to take x-rays was a hit or miss affair.

How will we remember our loved ones? (Guest, Amelia Lin, Co-Founder/CEO Saga)

Amelia Lin is the Co-Founder and CEO of Saga. She's a career technologist and is solving a very timely problem during the age of COVID - how - during a time we can't interact with our loved ones - can we share and preserve their memories?

We talk to Amelia about her journey through the tech world, including her experience in online education (which has obviously seen an enormous boom in the past few months). We ask whether it's really possible for people to receive the same quality of education online, and whether online learning is really the great equalizer. We talk about credentialing and whether the social skills you get from colleges really matter right now.

Amelia talks about her current project, Saga, which exploded overnight. Saga helps our older relatives document their history in a user friendly way, and essentially recreate it in podcast form.

We talk about the products' potential applications. Is there a possible future where AI can recreate how our loved ones interact? What if 50 years from now you could chat with your grandmother or grandfather as if you were having a conversation with them live today? Amelia talks about this and more during this very cool edition of TIYLISV.
