The Jesus Revolution from Someone who was REALLY THERE! #86
The Jesus Revolution movie recently debuted in theatres across America. It has exceeded all expectations at the box and received excellent reviews. It has also inspired a new generation of Christians to seek God for another great revival.
This movie chronicles a powerful, spiritual revolution that began in 1968 at Calvary Chapel in Costa Mesa, California. It quickly spread across the country transforming the lives of thousands of young hippies who became known as “Jesus People.”
On this episode of Finish Strong, we discuss the movie and the revival that actually happened with a woman who witnessed it all, firsthand, at Calvary Chapel. She talks about the accuracy of the movie and the powerful impact this revival had on our nation and how it transformed her life.

THE OLD RUGGED CROSS (HYMNS THAT I LOVE)
The Old Rugged Cross
Words/Music: George Bennard (1912)
On a hill far away, stood an old rugged Cross
The emblem of suff'ring and shame
And I love that old Cross where the dearest and best
For a world of lost sinners was slain
So I'll cherish the old rugged Cross
Till my trophies at last I lay down
I will cling to the old rugged Cross
And exchange it some day for a crown
To the old rugged Cross, I will ever be true
Its shame and reproach gladly bear
Then He'll call me some day to my home far away
Where His glory forever I'll share
So I'll cherish the old rugged Cross
Till my trophies at last I lay down
I will cling to the old rugged Cross
And exchange it some day for a crown
So I'll cherish the old rugged Cross
Till my trophies at last I lay down
I will cling to the old rugged Cross
And exchange it some day for a crown
I will cling to the old rugged Cross
And exchange it some day for a crown
