Challenges are such a great way to build connection and trust with your audience. Denise tells us why and also how to do this.
- Consider running a short, free challenge to start.
- This is a great way to give your audience a built-in community.
- One to two weeks is a good challenge length.
- Test different topics with different times of the year to see what works best with your people.
- Keep it simple and don’t focus too much on the numbers.

Personal / Youtube update
Iâll go to bed and have some sleep now, because Iâve had a few nights in a row now, with not so much of sleep. Because! â£
â£
Iâm really working on my YouTube channel at the moment, and like my podcast; then I see it as some sort of portfolio, that hopefully can help with adding lots of value to you guys and other viewers. â£
â£
If you feel like it, then go and check out my channel. I would love to know if it resonates with you and if itâs bringing you any value (thatâs the plan, so Iâm convinced it will) â£
â£
When that is said, then Iâm recording all of the videos in my living room (at this current time!) and some of them are better than others. But thatâs okay for now. As long as they get even better with time. â£
â£
I live by these words; start before youâre ready and then: adjust, apply and continue. Talk soon. xx J â£

How to: Be strategic on growing your audience
â£â£â£ â£â£â£
â£â£â£So, I thought I wanted to share a little tip with you guys on growing your audience! And in specific; on YouTube. â£â£â£
â£â£â£
As some of you know, then Iâm a big believer in more followers, means more potential customers, which means more potential sale. â£
â£
And since my mission is, to help you make your dreams come true, in the fields of coaching, author, podcaster, tv presenter or tv show creator - then itâs relevant enough of me to share a post on how to grow your audience, even though Iâm expanding my field here by talking a little bit about YouTube. â£â£â£
â£â£â£
So, tomorrow is precisely ONE week ago I started my YouTube channel, and since then my channel has grown with 866% and I have a current reach of 9.231. â£â£â£
â£â£â£With that said then: I donât have so many views or subscriptions yet, but let me tell you how to get even more exposed without investing any money (at all) in reaching more potential audience: be aware of what you name your YouTube videos! â£â£â£
â£â£â£
As you can tell, then I have lots of videos which is in the top 10 or top 3 on YouTube, in its category, even though I donât have that many views YET. â£â£â£
â£â£â£
Set time aside to do some research on the NAMES of your videos, because when you succeed with ranking them high on the list of search word, then itâs only a question of time for people to find you and thereby: grow your audience. â£â£â£
â£â£â£
Keyword: be strategic! â£â£

How to: Succeed with your podcast in 2020
â£â£â£â£â£
â£â£â£â£â£Hi guys! Itâs been a week since I posted last time, because I have been busy working on my other social media platforms. â£â£â£â£â£â£â£
â£â£â£â£â£â£â£
This picture is a screenshot of my statistics from my new podcast. â£
â£
I launched âDream to realityâ podcast on my existing podcast platform on May 5th and 7 hours after (I didnât check it again before bedtime) it had reached the #1 on iTunes in itâs category âHow toâ. â£â£â£â£â£â£â£
â£â£â£â£â£â£â£
This post is not for bragging, but for pointing out that Iâve changed a few things in the format this time, which obviously work and can might be helpful for you too in order to succeed with your podcast in 2020:â£â£â£â£â£â£â£
â£â£â£â£â£â£â£
1. The episodes are maximum 5 minutes longâ£â£â£â£â£â£â£
â£â£â£â£â£â£â£
2. Theyâre really niched down to âhow toâ (a category) in the fields Iâm experienced inâ£â£
â£â£
So a key thing here is to be very specific about your want with the podcast. â£â£â£
â£â£â£â£â£â£â£
3. Iâve prioritised good time to focus on my TAGS â£â£â£â£â£â£â£
â£â£â£â£â£â£â£
I didnât give my podcast any attention today, which is being reflected in the statistical. â£â£â£â£â£â£â£
â£â£â£â£â£â£â£
And that only illustrates the importance of taking the right steps in order for your podcast to grow. â¤ï¸ â£â£â£â£â£â£â£

How to: Expand your network of new potential coaching clients
â£
This is a picture of my first office (which was my own and that I didnât have to share with anyone else) and I literally had the greatest time there. â£
â£
In the time period from 2013-2015 I had done more than 2.000 coaching sessions and how was that possible, starting as a complete newbie in the coaching field? â£
â£
Let me tell you: it had everything to do with a LinkedIn strategy! â£
â£
Today I have around 10.000 followers on LinkedIn which is primarily build from back then, when I used the strategy to book meetings with new potential clients and do some sale (the sale mainly happened afterwards on email). â£
â£
So hereâs some tips on how to build a network of potential new coaching clients, book the meeting and then afterwards do the sale: â£
â£
1. Add people on LinkedIn whoâs already working in the field youâre an expert in (fx if youâre an performance coach, then only add people from performance fields) â£
â£
2. When they confirm your friend request then send them a message where you (very short) tell them who you are, what youâre offering and if possible then offer them a free coaching session so they can try it out for themselves and experience if it is for them and if you as the coach and them as the client is the right fit. â£
â£
3. After finishing the session with them you present a future plan for the upcoming next 3 sessions â£
â£
4. You give them some discount on buying more than 1 session at the time. â£
â£
Try it out for yourself. In this way youâre expanding your network of potential new clients by being proactive. Remember this, and this goes in almost any field: more followers, means more potential customers which means more potential sale. â£
â£
Becoming a busy coach is in my opinion a combination of being great at what you do, providing value of cause, being proactive and brave - but in my option then itâs also a bit of a numbers game. At least in the beginning, for you to get it all started and happening. Good luck! xxâ£

How to: Grow your audience faster
â£
So tonight I want to share with you how to get downloads/followers/grow your audience (readers, viewers or so on) faster! â£
â£
And at the same time: optimise your effort on doing this in a smart way. Because I tell you, this is all about strategy and on how to use your time wisely. â£
â£
So letâs go: when I do my podcast, then I always make sure to do these 3 things: â£
â£
1. Use more social platforms! Personally then Iâm on: YouTube, Instagram, Iâm hosted as a blogger, LinkedIn, Facebook and then on my podcast platform. This means = every time I create a podcast episode then Iâll post it on all social media platforms in order to expand the traction BUT in different ways. Let me tell you: â£
â£
2. Fx Iâll edit some of my podcast episode combined with a picture and upload it on all of my other platforms and copy paste a small section of the text from it that describes the theme/point/vision/mission with the podcast episode as a âteaser textâ. Or Iâll copy paste the whole thing in as a blogpost. Or Iâll record myself while making the podcast and upload it as a vodcast on all of my platforms, with a customised description that fits each platforms identity. â£
â£
In this way you can expand 1 product in many great ways, without having to do anymore work. Youâll make sure to brand yourself as much as you can and get your podcast episode (or whatever it may be) discovered by new potential followers/clients/customers. â£
â£
Itâs all about thinking in the strategy of expanding your 1 product, customising it each social platform and create a way to automate it. â£
â£
My 3 tip is to make collaborations! Make other relevant people promote for your xxx on their social media platforms. â£
â£
If youâre interested in learning more about how you can make them do that, then please comment below and Iâll dig into that too in another post. Enjoy! xx Jâ£
