Greg sat down with Toby LaVigne at SCI Nashville to share his journey from 30 yards in his early years to 400 and beyond, how he ended up in the Yukon, and how Gunwerk’s Long Range University changed his mind about “long range.”

Blood Origins founder, Robbie Kroger is on a mission to convey the truth about hunting. He and Toby LaVigne talk about the reasons why we hunt, and why hunters need to be completely honest about the good and the bad about hunting.

Alaska native Brian Poor spills the beans on all his Alaskan hunting adventures with his father. He's joined by Jeremy Winters who has a few stories of his own, along with Landon Michaels who is preparing for his first Alaskan adventure on Kodiak Island. On his latest hunt, Brian gifted his father a Gunwerks 30 Nosler that may have just been a lucky charm for their moose and grizzly bear combo. 

It's the whole Gunwerks hunting party on a boat, in the Pacific Ocean, off the coast of Kodiak Island. The guys provide an update on the adventure thus far; there has been epic fishing, a harrowing bear encounter, and sitka blacktail shot mid-sandwich. Austin Atkinson of Huntin' Fool joined them on this hunt and provides a lot of good information from his experiences in Alaska. By popular demand, here's a deep dive into the new Nexus rifle by Gunwerks. It's a switch-barrel design with an aluminum action, a built-in ARCA rail under the forend, a fast-moving 3-lug bolt, and a superb carbon fiber stock that really minimizes felt recoil. 

Features of the Nexus are unpacked and detailed, and practical, tested, field performance to 1,400 yards is discussed. Cartridge options (initially 6.5 PRC and .300 PRC) and barrel lengths (20" and 24") are explored. 

Real-world use in the field? Naturally! Audrey von Benedikt (age 14) hammered a 5.5-foot cinnamon-colored black bear boar from 301 yards, and we discuss that story, along with accuracy and reliability testing.
