#111 - Jehan Sattaur. The Subconscious and what is creating our perceptions. Effects from Caffeine
Jehan Sattaur joins us for a great chat about the subconscious, the details of how the mind is working, what is creating our perceptions and how to deal with this ongoing. We talk about his shift from a musician about to ‘make it’,  to digging a little too deep on things. Actually, that helps him help people and articulate wtf is going on around here.

We also get into self sabotage, the great revealing, fight, flight, or freeze, the limbic system, the digital age, bio sludge, genders, learning to ask yourself questions, the effects from music, and TV/Radio, psychedelics and fear, ancestral and morphogenetic influences.

In the second half we get deeper into how the brain is directly affected by stuff like food and especially caffeine , anxiety and depression, natural law, lack of rationalizing, Ayurveda diets, deletion subconscious stuff, cleaning your hard drive, chemical freedom, how the state has failed so far, gut - brain etc, and ancient wisdom.

How do your emotions get affected by your gut state? In this video, Dr. J and Evan talk about anxiety and stress as an example and how we can manage them based on evidence-based practice. Excessive worry and stress can worsen GI problems, and studies show that treatments and good food templates will help people cope with their GI symptoms.

Dr. J and Evan clarify that the brain immediately affects the gut. For example, the thought of eating can stimulate the release of the stomach's juices before food gets there and vice versa. A sick intestine can alert the brain, just as a troubled brain can alert the stomach and intestines. Therefore, a person's intestine and stomach distress may cause or be the product of stress, anxiety, or depression. It's because the gastrointestinal (GI) system and the brain are intimately connected.
