    Alasha Bennett is a mother to 3 children, an entrepreneur, and the Founder of The Bennett Center. The Bennett Center is a 501c3 non-profit whose goal is to close the gap of poverty in the urban areas, surrounding the cities of Hampton Roads, Virginia. The organization has two main initiatives. The garden program teaches families how to grow vegetables in 5-gallon buckets for a healthier diet and the entrepreneur program teaches youth how to build and sustain a business. The mission is to provide disadvantaged families with the tools, resources, and opportunities to increase their success of self-sufficiency.
