Saluton, estas mi…Tyson Saner! I will be your host for the duration of this penultimate episode of Succotash, the comedy soundcast soundcast, and as you may or may not know, I've been combing the internet far and wide, more or less, to bring you a few tastes of comedy soundcasting to your hungry-hungry ear-hippos for a few years now.

You are about to hear what is likely to be the last typical "clips - style" version of Succotash for the foreseeable future but don't dismay…this coming break is being called a "hiatus" because of the temporary nature that the term implies. The most likely scenario is that the show will return in some form or another…perhaps exactly the same form as you are about to hear…perhaps not, who can say?

And while that question hangs in the air could I tempt you with some clippage? I've got clips from Games for the End of the World, Refried Reviews, Wisecrackin' With Winter, Knowing: Robin Williams, Pajama Pants and Piecing It Together Podcast.

I'd also like to point out that one of my favorite things to do on this show as i've been hosting is to try to the best of my ability to read the episode descriptions exactly as written with the exception of links or commercials or promo codes. I look at it this way. A soundcast is something that is unlikely to be heard as the way you first experience it…unless you have friends who play podcasts as entertainment for each other to enjoy and someone hears it by accident, you generally will intersect with its description first…especially on iTunes or Stitcher or Soundcloud where you can read about a show before you decide to listen to it. So…if you are taking the time to write what is basically your "HEY, Listen to me!" commercial for your show, then I'm going to honor that time someone took to try to describe what you would potentially be about to listen to. Minus non-episode-or-show-descriptive text as previously mentioned.

I have to write some of these things myself and I often wonder what those words I write to describe the nonsense I get up to would sound like if someone other than me spoke them aloud.

Whether it's deconstructing a classic, or autopsying a flop, we re-watch movies so you don't have to. From the Podcast Graveyard comes Refried Reviews, which last dropped a new epi on July 6, 2017 - but who knows? In the world of soundcasting, this could just be a protracted hiatus… Our clip is from their second ever episode, posted November 21st, 2013. Host J.P. Cutter, along with co-host John Veron, stumbles through the plot synopsis of his pick, Rian Johnson's film Looper (2012) Looper.

Knowing: Robin Williams 
Chances are Robin Williams has made you laugh, cry -- or cry laughing! -- at least once in your lifetime. From sweaty standup riffs to sitcom mayhem as Mork from Ork, to a powerful Oscar-winning performance in Good Will Hunting, Robin was an artist who was constantly pushing his craft. In this limited series, New York Times reporter Dave Itzkoff and host Kristy Westgard share never-before-heard interviews and thoughtful analysis to celebrate the life and legacy of a comedic genius. Our clips is from the episode posted October 27th, 2019 entitled "The Comet". 

Wisecrackin' with Winter
Mike Winter and co-host Mitchell Haugerud sit down with their guests to talk news, sports, politics, and anything else they can fill his show with. You will enjoy the endless banter, laugh your ass off, and maybe learn something new… The clip we're featuring is from their epi that dropped just last month, on January 28th, 2020, entitled "Name That Hospital Bill Amount", in which contestants Emma and Paul guess the amounts of different line items for a three-day hospitalization. No matter all the arguments we might have, every American can agree that health care in America is about the best bargain on the planet.

Piecing It Together Podcast
This podcast about movies and the movies that inspired them has host David Rosen, and returning co-host David Quinones figuring out what the clear (and not so clear) influences were that make up the movies we love. Our featured clip is from the episode titled "Guava Island" from April 16th, 2019, the semi-feature from Childish Gambino's Donald Glover.

Pajama Pants
Not to be confused with the Pajama Pants offering from our longtime sponsor Henderson's Pants, this is a soundcast by Robert Iler and Kassem G., along with special guest Jamie-Lynn Sigler, discussing a whole lot of nothing but everything at the same time…in their pajama pants. Our clip is from January of this year, an episode where Dr. Drew joins the crew and weighs in on gender reveal parties, being a good listener, and what's wrong with Rob.

Yes, it's the end of the show again. Here we are together and thank you for spending time with us. You know…I wouldn't describe the overall experience of putting together a show like Succotash, the Comedy Soundcast Soundcast, as being particularly difficult. I enjoy listening to soundcasts a great deal so that's no fuss, I'd be doing that anyway because I enjoy hearing other people's conversations more than I ever realized I would.

I'm not the type to eavesdrop in general because people don't often like it when they find out you've been doing that…but with a soundcast they invite you to listen…and sometimes it's the only way you might have exposure to some very creative minds that exist out there in the world.

I really enjoy the idea of being able to share parts of those conversations with you, I enjoy the writing, recording and editing of the episodes…all of that is not what I would necessarily call "easy" but it's certainly not what I would call "difficult". No, the difficult part has always been this part…saying "goodbye". I mean I could just keep it simple…I could just say "Goodbye" and cue the music…I just don't think it would be right to do so.

And now that we are so near the end of our run - at least until the hiatus is over - I'm reminded of all the kindness that has been shown to this program over the years…and how a relatively unknown format such as the podcast - perhaps permanently rebranded as a "soundcast" one day - has become so widely used throughout the world as a way to archive conversations and communicate to anyone interested in listening.

Yup, that sounds as stupid out loud as it looks on paper...or on the screen of a computer or device. It's early in the morning at the moment as I am writing this and I wonder how many other soundcasters are working on their soundcasts right now instead of sleeping or fishing or doing a paper route (if those things still exist – I know I had a few of them "back in the day")

 

And is route pronounced to rhyme with "gout" or "boot"? It's probably either depending on where you are from or what you grew up hearing. Also, is "either" pronounced to rhyme with "breather" or "hi there"? I imagine the same scenario applies as before with the word "route".

Welcome. I'm sorry this episode was a bit late. I usually aim for release on Fridays but I have only 1-3 nights per week I can work on the show and last week we had a power outage inflicted on us by Pacific Gas and Electric or PG&E as we say out here. Yes, I said "inflicted" because it was purposely done by the company to help prevent fires during a windstorm we were having in California.

There are folks who are probably still without power 5 days on from the event and I consider myself fortunate that it was only slightly more than 24 hours with no power in my proverbial neck of the woods.

There really isn't a description for this show on its page but from listening to the first episode I can say that Jazz and Jazz standards are discussed and recordings of performances of Jazz standards are played in the episode. The first song played as a segment in the first episode is "Blue Skies" by Irving Berlin, sung by Don Most who has loved music that swings from a very young age and who's album of music - also titled "Mostly Swinging" - can be found on iTunes. The Margaret Cho
Through Margaret Cho's iconic work in comedy, fashion, music, and activism, she's developed deep, lasting friendships with - well - a bunch of famous people, while never losing her desire to search for and support the next big thing. Our featured clip is from the October 7th episode just a few weeks ago. Margaret talks with managing editor of Yahoo! music, Lyndsey Parker. Although the clip itself features an excerpt from Margaret's interview with Ronald McDonkey.

I listened to the promo and was intrigued. We don't normally play promos on Succotash so instead I listened to a couple episodes from early on in the show's run and took a clip from there, So: Our clip is from Cosmic Love's very first episode.  I thought it might be nice to hear what the "show" might have typically sounded like before the oncoming calamity…

SmoshCast
On SmoshCast's episode 18 - "Olivia's Bald Spot & How Defy Forced Us To Be Friends", Courtney, Olivia, and Mari opened up about their struggles with stress and the pressure of being perfect, feeling replaceable on Smosh, and being pitted against each other at Defy. Our clip is about that expendable feeling and how it was exacerbated by Defy Media's admitting as much. Bullseye with Jesse Thorn

The Underculture with James Adomian
James Adomian and friends perform a surreal vision of our times populated by heroes and hucksters. The episode from July 25th of this year features Paul Giamatti (Adomian) & Quincy Jones (guest Jerry Minor). Giamatti has been trying to get his podcast off the ground for a while now and James has an exclusive copy of the 44th take of the pilot episode with special guest Quincy Jones! Plus the world premiere of the trailer for Paul Giamatti's upcoming film about the ancient Greek myth of Sisyphus! And James chats with the very funny and talented Jerry Minor (Historical Roasts)! In the clip we're featuring Quincy Jones dishes on some famous people. 

The Future History of the British Isles
A dark comedy sketch show, The Future History of the British Isles, takes a sideways glance at the apocalypse, fake news and mass-ignorance-hysteria. The end is nigh, so dig a hole. Our clip is from their Epi2, which dropped April 5, 2019 — here's the blurb on the 'sode: "Once government intelligence was able to link green protestors with anti-west terror cells based in Scotland, all credible opposition to hydraulic fracturing, hydrofracturing, hydrofracking, fracking, was defeated, leaving the entire rural perimeter of Nottinghamshire primed for development." 

Dylan Brody's Neighbor's Couch Revisited
The tale of how a joke between friends on Twitter turned into an unexpectedly successful podcast continues… The guest with host Darren Staley and show namesake Dylan Brody is comedian/actor/raconteur Robert Wuhl, where they chat about his career in stand-up comedy, his tv game show acumen, his apprehension about social media, Good Morning Vietnam, music in film, Cobb, HBO's Arli$$, and Assume the Position with Mr. Wuhl. Plus, a very funny exchange between Robert and Dylan regarding Dylanís poor marketing skills. In our clip, Wuhl remembers writing jokes for Rodney Dangerfield and the topic of "Comedic Responsiblity" is discussed.

I really have got a rare treat for you, folks. Some of you have seen the thumbnail for this episode and know what's coming but, for those of you who may have possibly downloaded this episode or otherwise added it to your queue without looking at it, first — seriously , thank you — and second, our guest is none other than television personality, musician, songwriter, filmmaker, and first-year winner of MTV's Wanna Be a VJ: Jesse Camp!

Mr. Camp was on two episodes of the Harmontown soundcast (episodes 316 & 317), which I recently had a chance to catch up on. And he had such a positive attitude about life I felt compelled to reach out to him.

Some of you might recall that Jesse was reported to have gone missing for about a week around the middle of 2018, and I'm telling you that here because we don't really talk about it very much if at all in this chat. He went into great detail on those aformentioned episodes of "Harmontown" so you can listen to that story there if you were to desire to do so.

For the most part we talked about the present and the future... in fact there will most likely be a "Part 2" released sometime after this because we did have a pretty interesting time together...on the phone...

Quite often, I will find myself researching things that I had not previously heard of until they were mentioned on a soundcast somewhere. And that will invariably lead me to find another soundcast that I had not previously been aware of for one reason or another…and I will likely be clipping that soundcast for a future "clips" episode…and then YOU will get a taste of a soundcast that may or may not have ever been on your radar.

Earlier today I was thinking about how strange it is that many of us refer to soundcasts as "shows"…because, aside from those with a visual component such as video or something like it…mostly soundcasts are…well, SOUND…You can't really see sound…just that which it effects. So podcasts, like radio shows before them, would more accurately be referred to as "tells"…but it's silly to think about re-naming everything simply because of logic.

I mean, I'd have to re-brand my other soundcast "Anti Social Show" to "Anti Social Tell"…and that's just weird…the acronym sucks too…it's "AST"…I don't think that's a thing. I Googled it and it's not a word…it's not an English word at any rate. Let's see. If I put it through Google Translate, I see it means "branch" in…German. So, mystery solved.

Dr. Drew After Dark
Dr. Drew Pinsky is a board-certified internist and one of America's most trusted physicians. On Dr. Drew After Dark, he shares his professional opinion about all of the weirdest stuff on the Internet. The clip we're featuring hails from Epi8, which first hit the web back in April of this year. In it is a miniature recreation of "Loveline", a late-night radio advice program that Dr. Drew hosted with radio personality and podcaster Adam Carolla…on which Andy Dick had been a guest multiple times. …

You Made It Weird with Pete Holmes
A weekly comedy interview podcast, You Made It Weird originated under the premise that Holmes would ask his guest, usually a fellow comedian, about three "weird" things he knew about them, but the show has since evolved into a much more loose conversation about such complex topics as comedy, religion, and sexuality. Everybody has secret weirdness, comedian Pete Holmes gets comedians to share theirs including, in an episode from the end of last year, the unique, weird, and wonderful comedy brain of Paula Poundstone.

The One in Twenty Show 
An interview-based podcast hosted by Evan Rogers, The One in Twenty Show is rooted in finding the next one in twenty individuals who are pursuing their passions with success. Our clip is from Epi38 from this past May, and features guest Jen Matichuk, a multi-faceted creator from Canada — most known for her work with Rhett and Link as a brand coordinator and producer on Good Mythical Morning.

Thick Skin with Jeff Ross
"Life is hard. Let's get through it together." Join Jeff Ross, The Roastmaster General, as he takes on "Touchy Subjects", interviews people smarter than him and pays tribute to the recently deceased, so they can properly Roast In Peace. The clip we're featuring was from a show just a couple of weeks ago, entitled "Why I Roasted Anne Frank" on what would have been her 90th Birthday.

And there's another "tell over and done with." No, that doesn't sound good at all…I don't think it will catch on any time soon. You know what could though? This soundcast. How?…I haven't worked that part out much beyond a semi-aggressive word-of-mouth campaign…For example, I have a show on my YouTube channel called Tyson Saner: Gamer where I play video games and give commentary of my experiences. At the end of every episode I mention Succotash The Comedy Souncast Soundcast and how you can find its website at www.succotashshow.com if one was so inclined to do so. 

I also mention Anti Social Show a podcast I co-host that, assuming you have heard this episode from the beginning, you may well remember me mentioning it…and finally I mention a little show called Gaming Outside My Comfort Zone which is a gaming show that my wife hosts on her YouTube channel which is called "SexxyLaura27Games".

Saluton, estas mi Tyson Saner welcoming you to Succotash, The Comedy Soundcast Soundcast. It's been a while but what can I say? Life happens. I'm still listening to soundcasts and looking for other soundcasts to listen to so I already have some listened to for the next show.

What that means, of course, is that you have a greater chance of listening to a new show two weeks from the release of this episode than you did before I made sure to get extra listening done. This very new soundcast features hosts Daniel Kaufman and Eric Ohlsen talking comedy, science, politics, or whatever else is on their minds. We've gotten a clip from the premiere episode from this past April, with guest Tony Martin — a former writer on The Simpsons — and it's from a segment of the show where they were talking about, strangely enough, The Simpsons.

Mildest Dreams
The Life Beyond Our Mildest Dreams soundcast offers an unfiltered, funny, insider's look at sobriety and its fringe culture. With hosts Owen Bowness and John Moses, our featured clip comes from a show that dropped in September of last year, and had guest Joe List along for the chat. The clip covers part of the trio's discussion about Buddhism.

All Things Comedy Live (with Bill Burr and Al Madrigal)
All Things Comedy soundcast network founders Bill Burr and Al Madrigal are joined by fellow comics for an unconventional hour-long show, featuring Bobby Lee, Rory Scovel, and Gareth Reynolds. The epi originally posted April 14th, 2016, our clip includes the beginning of the interview segment with Rory.

Confidently Insecure
Touted as "the podcast where we're absolutely sure we don't know everything," host Kelsey Darragh is joined by guest Eugene Lee Yang of The Try Guys crew. Taken from the first episode, which only just dropped in April of this year, the clip we have features Kelsey and Eugene discussing self-esteem, among other things…

Friend of Succotash Darren Staley sent in this clip, featuring Paul Provenza chatting it up about his TV show The Green Room with Darren and the titular Dylan Brody. In our featured clip Laugh-In is discussed as well as  Margaret's early comic role models as well as her current favorite comedy personalities.

The New Yorker Radio Hour 
David Remnick is joined by The New Yorker's award-winning writers, editors and artists to present a weekly mix of profiles, storytelling, and insightful conversations about the issues that matter — plus an occasional blast of comic genius from the magazine's legendary Shouts and Murmurs page. Our clip is from the episode that dropped on November 23rd last year (2018), entitled "Jim Carrey Doesn't Exist (According to Jim Carrey)".

The Mike Lupica Podcast 
Mike Lupica, one of the most prominent columnists in America, brings his experience and insider's knowledge, coupled with a provocative presentation that takes an uncompromising look at the tumultuous worlds of professional sports, and politics to this weekly podcast. Every week join Mike and a special guest as they tackle the topics of today! The clip we're featuring is from Mike's chat with Larry David back in 2017.

CBS Sunday Morning with Jane Pauley 
CBS Sunday Morning with Jane Pauley is the top-rated Sunday morning news program in all the key demos, and features stories on the arts, music, nature, entertainment, sports, history, science, Americana and highlights unique human accomplishments and achievements. From May of last year, Lee Cowan hosts this part of the soundcast. I was specifically looking to clip the segment with two of my all-time favorite funny people, Steve Martin and Martin Short…so I did.

Congratulations with Chris D'Elia 
Comedian and actor Chris D'Elia sits down every week to talk about what's on his mind. THe clip we're featuring comes from Epi116, "Open Up the Limit", where Chris responds to the local Albuquerque news covering his reaction from the week previous.

Join host Kimberly Schmidt and her husband Jay as they try to transform their friend Alex Fossella from casual theater goer to full-out fan boy. The clip we're featuring is from the show's pilot, where Kimberly and Jay explain Alex's first homework assignment: The cast album from Hair. 

Mega
This soundcast is an improvised satire from the staff of a fictional mega church. Starring show creators Holly Laurent and Greg Hess as hosts Hallie and Gray, the clip we have is this past January and guest stars Edgar Blackmon (Alone Together, Popstar) as Edward Blackthorn who's talking sports, Game of Thrones, and falling in love.

Gilbert Gottfried's Amazing Colossal Podcast
Every episode of GGACP, host, comedian and actor Gilbert Gottfried, along with co-host and fellow pop culture fanatic Frank Santopadre, welcomes an astounding guest from the business of show. Our clip from a recent episode features guest Joel Grey, talking about being Joel Grey!

A Funny Feeling
Hosted by comedians and paranormal enthusiasts Betsy Sodaro and Marcy Jarreau, A Funny Feeling, invites the hosts' comedian friends and celebrity guests to tell their true paranormal experiences and hear spooky stories submitted by listeners. A clip from Epi69, entitled NorCal Mysteries, features guest storyteller Jessica Jardine, discussing her Northern California upbringing with stories of serial killers and the Winchester Mystery House. 

Fear Initiative
A weekly horror role-playing game podcast, Fear Initiative features Game Master David Ian McKendry as he takes players Morgan Peter Brown, Cara Mandel, Jeff Seidman, Megan Duffy, Rob Schrab, Josh Forbes and Clarke Wolfe on a weekly horror inspired RPG adventure. Our clip is from the very first episode from August of last year, when the FI crew comes together seemingly by accident, meeting late one night at a tavern.

Cracked on and gone: one more episode of Succotash. Thank you so much for listening to us. I must thank executive producer Marc Hershon for resuming hosting duties for the most recent 3 episodes while I was adjusting to having a newborn. I'm still adjusting but I'm not complaining because I'm pretty sure that's what parenting is...constant adjustments. 

It's been great so far. I have no jokes to make. It's totally worth it.

The Smartest Man in the World 
Comedian Greg Proops is smarter than you. I understand that former host and current executive producer of Succotash Marc Hershon clipped "SMITW as recently as Epi186: "Subbin' For Tyson", which is a great episode BTW as are all of Mr. Hershon's episodes... they are my template after all... the thing is, I don't really share what my clip choices are going to be with Mr. Hershon so... I already had a clip ready to go... I feel like maybe more information should be shared from my side of the table sometimes... we'll see.  in the meantime, I wanted to feature  this clip from Pennies, released Dec 20, 2018, because this clip is of Greg's farewell to Penny Marshall who passed away on December 17th, 2018, and features his wife: Artist, photographer, activist, and podcast host Jennifer Canaga.

Join host Scott Aukerman ("Comedy Bang! Bang!" on IFC; "Mr. Show") for a weekly podcast that blends conversation and character work from today's funniest comedians. This clip is from Epi547, featuring John Mulaney, Seth Morris, and Betsy Sodaro, where they feature the introduction of Miss Potts.

The Ramble 
Comedian Jerry Rocha talks about whatever is on his mind at the time. Clip is from Epi160, with guest Eddie Pence, the Vice Host of The Ralph Report with Ralph Garman. In this clip there is a discussion of death in films, including a Top ten list.

Well, there's another episode sorted and served up. I hope it was to your liking. Remember, it's a tasting plate of just a small portion of the type of comedy content or alleged comedy content you could find if you happened to be looking for an alternative to terrestrial radio. Or perhaps you are thinking of starting a soundcast so you were wondering what they might sound like. 

I've only scratched the surface of what is available in ONE genre. The story behind Succotash, if you didn’t know, is that I started this show back in 2011 as a way to showcase comedy soundcasts because, at the time – believe it or not – the medium of podcasting was floundering. People were having trouble finding them or knowing how to listen to them, and a lot of what was available was somewhat sketchy in terms of both content and quality.

Well, since then, it’s clear that soundcasting has found its footing and now we’ve hundreds of thousands of shows.  I like to think that Succotash has something to do with the medium surviving and paddling to the shore, to emerge, stand up on its own two feet, and evolve into the awesome force it is today. I know that’s not true, but I still like to think about it…

Nonetheless, I encourage you to take in today’s clips and — if you’re liking one or more of the show’s we’re sampling — go and check out an entire episode. If you are an adult and have not seen this film yet, I believe that you should. It explores the theme of Toxic Masculinity and its symptoms of "Sexual-Conquest-as-Friendly(?)-Competition" as well as the plausible consequences involved when it all "stops being fun" and starts being deadly.

This more recent film was released in 2017 and its title is comprised of 3 words. What a year it has been…and that's at least partially because I took over hosting and main production duties during this year approximately 10 months ago. I hadn't really been thinking about how much time had actually elapsed because it, like everything else seems to just keep happening. It does seem to feel like less time than a year has passed because it has…that's pretty logical…beep boop… 

ANYWAY…It's a show chock full of content including clips from Chillpak Hollywood Hour, Just Say Words, 2DudeReview, Conan O'Brien Needs a Friend, The Podcast Brothers and Thought Spiral.

Listeners of past episodes of Succotash might remember the soundcasts Trevor Has Friends and Just Joshin' being featured in episodes 172 and 177, respectively. These are both comedy soundcasts from over at Savage Henry Magazine , a humor magazine produced locally here in Humboldt County. It's a free publication that has been published with regularity since it was first published in 2010. It was founded by Chris Durant, Sarah Godlin, Monica Durant, and Josh Duke.

I follow the magazine on Instagram at @savagehenrymagazine and I came across this post from December 16th, 2018: "Monica, (@moneycuz) co-founder of the magazine and the glue that has kept it all together for all these years, is sick. Chillpak Hollywood Hour
This soundcast features two members of "soundcast royalty" (as dubbed by Succotash executive producer Marc Hershon), namely Dean Haglund and Phil Leirness. They've been doing the show for more than 11 years, week in and week out, engaging in thought-provoking, insightful, and irreverent cultural conversation. Our clip is from recent Epi603, where the gents discuss the death and life of U.S. President George H.W. Bush, the forthcoming film Vice, the live variety stage show Phil produced on his 50th birthday, Dean's efforts to pack up his L.A. abode and his recent Michigan adventures. There's also a plug for their dark comedy The Lady Killers. 

P.S. I've seen "The Lady Killers" and it is quite good. We're working on having Dean and Phil on as guests to talk more about The Lady Killers on an upcoming edition of Succotash Chats!

Thought Spiral
Comedians Andy Kindler (Bob's Burgers, Maron, and a past Succotash guest) and J. Elvis Weinstein (MST3K, Freaks & Geeks) convene weekly to solve the problems of the world but usually end up talking about comedy and various forms of anxiety. Every episode so far has been called "Test Episode Number Something". Our clip hails from their Epi64, a live show from the Improv Lab in Los Angeles, where Andy muses on the pros and cons of singing in public and which musicals he has enjoyed.
 

Sidenote: The documentary: I Need You To Kill, features comedians Pete Lee, Chad Daniels, and Tom Segura on a comedy tour of China. It turns out that there's a growing comedy scene over there and it's fascinating to see it happening. The documentary was directed by none other than the aforementioned J. Elvis Weinstein. It's currently streaming on Amazon Prime and, assuming you are a fan of comedy and/or documentaries about comedians or just documentaries in general…you could do a lot worse than to check this one out. 

The Podcast Brothers
Flaw700 and Fresco are two real life brothers who are similar (because they're both Gemini's) but also have different view points. The authentic and entertaining sibling dynamic gets switched up when Kailah King is there, She offers a unique female's perspective. They discuss mainstream hip hop events and relay those events into engaging topics of discussion. This clip is from "Love Is Free", their Epi110 from this past November, and is part of their segment called "Fresh or Fiasco".

Just Say Words
The Just Say Words soundcast covers everything from social Issues, pop culture, and race, to tech, movies, and much more. Hosted by Jae, in Epi239 he talks about voting and has a bunch of random ramblings filled with jokes and much more. Our clip features him detailing how he dealt with his Netflix account being hacked.

2DudeReview
The 2DudeReview is a weekly podcast, hosted by Brian Bradley and Chad Hamilton, features Karina Dolehide, and is based on the book, "1001 Movies You Must See Before You Die." Brian and Chad are longtime friends and lifelong movie geeks who love to talk, at length, about their favorite films. "Each week we watch a movie from the '1001 Movies' list, research the film, then discuss and rate the movie from our perspectives. We pride ourselves on bringing quality content and maybe even a laugh or two in the process." IN November, they talked at length about the movie Jurassic Park — what the hell genre is it, science versus religion versus capitalism, and Chad has the hiccups. Our clip catch the hiccup fit.

Conan O'Brien Needs A Friend 
After 25 years at the Late Night desk, Conan O'Brien realized that the only people at his holiday party are the men and women who work for him. Over the years and despite thousands of interviews, Conan has never made a real and lasting friendship with any of his celebrity guests. So, he started a podcast to do just that. He's joined on this quest by longtime trusty assistant Sona Movsesian and producer Matt Gourley (Superego, James Bonding.) His very first guest was Will Ferrell. In our clip from that episode 1, Will recounts a long-running "life bit" that involved a costume from a "Smokey and the Bandit" sketch on SNL.

And just like that, the last Succotash show of 2018 is drawing to a close. What  a year it has been. I've spent 10 months of it putting together episodes of this show and eight of those 10 months preparing to welcome my wife and I's first child into this world VERY early in 2019. Also, the 16th of this month was my wife and I's 15th wedding anniversary. For those of you who pay attention to this sort of thing, 15 years is the "Crystal" anniversary. 

Whaddya want from me, I'm full of tidbits…somewhat like an actual Succotash… 

Anyway, 2018 has been the most unique year of my life so far. I have a feeling 2019 is going to top everything on the uniqueness scale...if there is such a thing. On January 1st I have a single dropping. It's a collaboration with Korey Epps who appeared in the Chats episode of Succotash #175. He has an album coming out in early 2019 called "Luv & Liquor" and our collaboration is part of it. It's called "Hope" and it will be available on New Years Day, on Spotify, iTunes/Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Deezer, Tidal, Napster and Youtube.…so that's happening too. 

In closing, thank you to my wife and family for being wonderful and supportive of me all these years. Thank you to Korey Epps for believing in my musical ability enough to collaborate on a music project with me. CLIPS 

Master Manual
Harmontown's "Dungeon Master to the Stars" Spencer Crittenden and game designer Cohen Edenfield discuss the finer points of leading a role-playing session in this surprisingly accessible advice show. Our clip is from the inaugural episode of Master Manual. In the episode, Spencer and Cohen answer questions and riff up a fresh new take on vampires, while the clip is from a segment called "Alternate Monster Lore".

Maltin on Movies 
This soundcast should perhaps be entitled Maltins On Movies, as legendary film critic Leonard Maltin AND his daughter Jessie are the ultimate movie fans. They love talking about movies, especially with people who share their enthusiasm. In the epi released on November 2nd this year, their guest was comedian Dennis Miller, who is a diehard film buff. In the snippet we feature, Dennis recounts a past encounter with Leonard Maltin seasoned with references, and a discussion of The McCarthy Era of Hollywood History, as well as the beginning of a discussion about character actors.

Unstructured 
Unstructured is a chat with people who are changing the world around them, through teaching, creating, or just living as an example. And when meeting folks, we can learn from each other, be inspired, and maybe even make a new friend, together. OUr clip is from Epi84 of the show, which dropped on October 25th of this year and featured Susan Bennett, who furnished the original voice of Siri, Apple's voice UI. She describes the recording process that when into creating Siri's voice. 

Shenk
Comedian Sara Weinshenk interviews comedians, musicians & artists living in LA. Topics include food, fashion, cannabis & comedy. The clip we're featuring comes from the episode entitled, "Mango Juul Pods, Snail Essence & Feet Pics W/ Comedian Brandon Wardell", from this past November. Sara and Brandon yack about fashion and speculate on life as a gamer.

Weird Adults with Little Esther
"Little Esther" Povitsky finds out what makes her fellow comedian friends both weird and adult with an irreplaceable quirk and charm not found anywhere else. This show seems to have largely gone away but it popped back on the radar last March following a live edition performed as part of the San Francisco Sketchfest. Esther was joined by Nick Wiger of Doughboys soundcast fame where they mostly talked about food. In the clip, the host mentions she has jaw pain and that leads to a conversation about strange interactions with a few medical professionals.

Christal Clear The Podcast
Seeking clarity in life, to make the most of my life. "Christal Clear" is my affirmation. Our clip comes from the "Be My Guest" episode from last October, where host Christal discusses the adjustments one makes when one receives feedback on their shows and guest Jae (who has been running the Pod Dealer Network for almost a year as of this recording) explores the anxieties of being the sole host of a show.

High Content 
Hosted by Iraj Lopez and Joe Buratti, High Content had its first live episode last month at the Savage Henry Comedy Club in Eureka, California. After local comedians Jessica Grant and Nando Molina gave interviews the hosts of HiC unexpectedly invited me up on stage for a segment. Here is a bit that I clipped off for you from the "Would You Rather" portion of the interview.

And there you have it... or rather here you had it... "it" being another "Succotash The Comedy Soundcast Soundcast" clips edition... ...that is still underway now that I think about it so (ahem) here you are having it, another edition of "Succotash The Comedy Soundcast Soundcast".

I haven't heard this one in a while. But I looked at the list of clips - some of these shows aren’t even around any more - and I look forward to taking this journey back in time with you when the show was only a little more than four years old. Now-executive producer Marc Hershon was the host, I was the associate producer, and the show was still using the P word when referring to itself. What? Me, Marc Hershon, your host and toaster pastry? Back within a week with another installment of Succotash, the Comedy Podcast Podcast? Yes, it’s true. 

This is Succotash Clips, Epi 120. And we have a Thanksgiving Feast of comedy podcast clips for you. It’s a veritable spread of different flavors and — given the humor in some of them — truly a groaning board of a clip buffet in store for your ears this time around.

We’ve got The All-Seeing Guys, Bitter Sound, Ear Goggles, Ice & The Face, The McCue Report, Primalcast, The Reigning Lunatic, Rob & Slim, The Vince Wylde Show and Who Charted?

Ear Goggles
So you might remember when I announced on this show earlier this year when the 10-year-old podcast known as Sibling Rivalry celebrated its decadeness was re-branded as Ear Goggles. I ran into 2/3’s of the hosting team – Jeremy Grater and Susan Black – last September at the 4th Annual Los Angeles Podcast Festival. Host #3 – Aaron Ristrow – lives on the East Coast, as opposed to his Seattle-based compadres. I chatted with them, which we featured during the PodFest upload frenzy, and they chatted with me for their show, which just dropped recently.

The Rob & Slim Show Just this last week I was a call-in guest on the LIVE partycast known as The Rob & Slim Show. They’ve been retweeting our stuff the past few months and I had just had Tyson clip me off a chunk of a recent show but, I figured as long as I was going to be on their show, we may as well use THAT clip. Rob and Slim — I haven’t been able to find much else about them or the other voice that seem to float around during their ‘cast — run a 3+ hour live whoop-de-doo, in the style of a morning radio show as they put it and they cover the gamut of topics that are fresh in and around the news. Plus they drink. How can you lose?

The Bitter Sound
This clip comes to us from The Bitter Sound, uploaded directly to us by host Davian Dent. He and sidekick Matt Bubbles managed to get OUR booth announcer, Bill Heywatt, to call in for a visit. (I can’t get the guy to stand still in Studio P long enough to do another Boozin’ With Bill segment yet these jokers get him just like that. I even pay the guy’s salary!) Oh well. If the only way we can get Bill on the show is with him being slightly tanked and yammering on a clip from someone else’s show, so be it.

The Reigning Lunatic
Friend-of-Succotash Geoffrey Welchman, who was the former host of the now-kaput Inverse Delirium podcast, came roaring back after a time away from Podcastland with a brand new offering! The Reigning Lunatic is a scripted situation comedy about a crazy king and his hapless servants and subjects. Geoffrey asked me to play a part in the series opener as Sir Jerry, and I, being an audio whore, was only too happy to comply.

Ice & The Face
So we had several direct uploaded clips this week (through our upload link at http://hightail.com/u/Succotash) including one from someone named Rick. His cover note with the upload reads: “Hello, my name is Rick, and I had a conversation with someone on twitter today from Succotash. I said I would provide a five minute clip from our comedy show, Ice and The Face, for your show. This clip is from episode #75 - 10.9.15. We hope you enjoy it! Who Charted?
I’m not sure we’ve ever featured a clip from this next show before. Not sure why. Who Charted? has been around forever and is quite beloved. They cover the hits that are charting in music and movies, with lots of comedy guests. The hosts are Howard Kremer and Kulap Vilaysack normally, but in this episode clipped by our Associate Producer Tyson Saner, Kulap is off, replaced by guest co-host Emily V. Gordon, who hosts another podcast – The Indoor Kids – with her husband, Kumail Nanjiani. Their guest is James Adomian, who’s gotten some attention lately because of his Bernie Sanders impression.

The Vince Wylde Show
Tyson harvested us a clip from a new-to-me show, The Vince Wylde Show, part of the AM Podcast Network. (Not sure what that is, but the AM comes from the network founder, Adam Mulholland.) The Vince Wylde blurb on the homesite reads, “The Radio Show with Attitude, Humor, and great production. From Schizophrenic Studios on the 36th Floor of the FMI Building.” I don’t know where the Fmi building is, either. In this clip, Vince and his partner on the show, a guy named Ben sample some soft drinks from a company called Carbonated Atrocities. Bottoms up!

The McCue Report
There’s a show from the Boston area that reached out to Tyson Saner directly, which is another way to go if you’re looking to be clipped on our show, called The McCue Report. It features comedian Jim McCue interviewing interesting and entertaining people, according to their homesite. The show’s been chugging along for about a year and a half now, and is part of Boston Comedy Festival Radio. In this clip, which was furnished to Tyson via Twitter, McCue chats with his guest, standup comedian Al Park, about working on the road.

The All Seeing Guys
Our man in Great Britain, Davian Dent, when he’s not producing his own podcasts – The Bitter Sound and Strange Times – is out looking for other fun stuff to put in his ears. This time he’s sent some of it along to us. It’s a clip from a show I’ve not caught yet, called The All-Seeing Guys, and features two blokes — are guys still called blokes in England? — named Greg and Joe.

As I said, a cornucopia of podcasts for your Thanksgiving week listening pleasure. Take us with you on that long drive to the relatives' house or listen while you're digesting on the couch after stuffing your face. And for those of you NOT in the United States, have a great Thursday and Friday.

Saluton, estas mi Tyson Saner, your host for this seasonally appropriate episode of Succotash, The Comedy Soundcast Soundcast — Hallowanksgiving addition!  Yes, it's that special time situated perineum-esquely between Halloween and Thanksgiving. The mid-terms have come and gone and hoo boy, ghosts and turkeys everywhere!  Comedy and conversations become essential, people have those conversations, record them and release them as comedy soundcasts...

How do you find comedy soundcasts? You turn right at Greenland...But seriously folks, it wouldn't be a Hallowanksgiving episode without a turkey of a joke...or two. Also, the punchline of that joke is from "A Hard Day's Night" which I AM NOT plagiarizing...I'm merely pointing out that the punchline is arguably funnier in context...and of course, that's completely subjective. And, as I am fond of saying...so is Comedy.

I'm calling that joke a turkey because I wanted to mention Turkey again. I'm hungry, ok?  I'd have turkey off the bone 20 times a year if it were convenient to do so. I already use ground turkey for taco meat and I'll — more occasionally than I would like, mind you — enjoy strips of turkey bacon flaked into a nice pea soup instead of ham. Pea soup is awesome, and fiber is even more important than a sense of humor. Believe me, kids. 

SO, How do you find comedy soundcasts?   I find them by going to places like Stitcher, iTunes, Soundcloud, Podbay and Laughable. 

Laughable actually recommends soundcasts to me based on comedians I'm looking for and has featured comedians that are suggested when I am browsing the app. At least one of the soundcasts featured in this episode was recommended to me by the app and because of the sheer amount of listening to comedy soundcasts I do I really appreciate the suggestions that the app gives me. 

I also find soundcasts by listening to soundcasts and the commercials for other soundcasts that might be heard before, mid, and after the main content of soundcasts from certain networks. That's one of the reasons you'll hear soundcasts from the Earwolf network, Starburns Audio, and All Things Comedy so often. 

I also try to feature shows that feature people whose names I had not read or heard of before my searching for potential clip material brought their existence to my attention.

So again...how do YOU find comedy soundcasts?  No rush to respond, just think about it for a bit and get back to me. In the meantime, we've got clips from: Screams and Moans Returns, Get Up On This, The Aggy Fox and Dana Podcast, Never Seen It, Fat Pig, and The Boogie Monster...

Our clip features talk of fear of technology, clowns and how Knitting fits into various horror films...

Side Note: The movie featured in this episode, Halloween III: Season of the Witch was filmed very close to where I grew up and currently reside. There's a lovely cheese factory in Loleta, the town that stood in for the town called Santa Mira. — TS

Get Up On This
Final episode alert! Jensen Karp and co-host Matthew Robinson have sat with a different guest each week to get you up on (or up OFF) new stuff. They' introduced you to musicians, TV shows, apps and many more things, knowing you just didn't have the time to sift through that shitt. Famous movies and TV shows are rewritten by people who have NEVER seen them, then their versions are then cast and read in studio. Grab your Red Vines and settle in for pop culture talk, ridiculous movie-themed-games and recurring segments with host Kyle Ayers' dad. In the episode I clipped from just a few weeks ago, Steve Agee, who has never seen An American Werewolf in London, rewrites it and they read his script.

The Aggy Fox and Dana Podcast 
Join the hosts of this brand new soundcast as hosts Aggy Fox and Dana Lucas explore the great and godawful of the world and play One Third of an Hour with a different guest each episode. This clip Is from the very first episode from October 19th, 2018, midway thru a segment called "The Great and the Godawful" in which host Dana Lucas is halfway into recounting an unpleasant experience for her contribution to the "Godawful" portion of the segment.

The Boogie Monster 
In this simple premised soundcast, hosts Kyle Kinane and Dave Stone talk about ghosts, barbeque, and maybe interview people and maybe have had a few drinks before they started recording. OUr snippet hails from right back around the corner at the end of October. The Waverly Hills discussion starting point is at approximately the 42 minute mark. This is from a portion of the conversation regarding the sanatorium's so-called "Death Chute". Also, the Waverly Hills Sanatorium is thought to be Haunted. So there's disease AND ghost talk in this episode of this soundcast!

Well...that's about that. As I record this, the mid-terms have passed and I would not be surprised if there's AT LEAST 2 more years of conflict between The Government AND The People...Honestly it's not a new thing. People have been criticizing politics and politicians for a long time, not always constructively...But it is their right to do so and that's, I guess, the point. It's the violence and hatred that gets to me. That's why comedy is important to me...it's a break from the drama...and if not always a break it is at least a release of tension to be able to laugh at something. 

Listening to soundcasts reminds me that people are still getting along, having conversations AND laughing about the strangeness that is the human condition...at least that's what it seems like to me. 

So, for Marc Hershon, Bill Heywatt, Joe Paulino, Scott Carvey, and Succotash The Comedy Soundcast Soundcast, I wish you a continued Happy Hallowanksgiving ...on into Thanksgiving Proper...or whatever else you might celebrate this November as long as you aren't hurting anyone. Welcome to Succotash, The Comedy Soundcast Soundcast - The podcast that dares to call itself a soundcast and features clips of comedy soundcasts from all around the internet because well, that's generally where soundcasts are stored and, ultimately, found and clipped by yours truly.

It's late October but not yet Halloween as I write this. Even so, if you celebrate Halloween I'd like to wish you a happy one early because the next episode of Succotash, The Comedy Soundcast Soundcast will post afterwards... truth is I'll probably wish you a "Happy After Halloween - Pre -Thanksgiving" when the time comes because "reasons".

H3 Podcasts
h3h3Productions (often shortened to h3h3 or simply h3) is a comedy YouTube channel produced by husband and wife duo Ethan and Hila Klein. Their content mostly consists of reaction videos and sketch comedy in which they satirize internet culture. In addition to their main channel, they run a secondary vlog channel by the name of Ethan and Hila and a third channel called H3 Podcast. We've clipped from Epi84 from September 12th, 2018, in an episode featuring guest Bill Burr. In this clip Ethan, Hila and Bill discuss having children and the All Things Comedy network (whose comedian-based podcast content has been frequently featured on Succotash The Comedy Podcast Podcast (including About Last Night with Adam Ray and Brad Williams, Bertcast from comedian Bert Kreischer, and Skeptic Tank with Ari Shaffer.

Gilbert Gottfried's Amazing Colossal Podcast
Comedian and actor Gilbert Gottfried, a man Stephen King once called "a national treasure," talks with the show business legends, icons and behind-the-scenes talents who shaped his childhood and influenced his comedy. Along with co-host and fellow pop culture fanatic Frank Santopadre, Gilbert is joined by comics, actors, musicians, talk show hosts, writers and other eyewitnesses to Hollywood history. Our clip  is from Epi 220 from last August, when Gilbert and Frank welcomed an old friend, legendary comedy writer Bruce Vilanch, and it features the telling of an encounter with Donny Osmond and includes a brief bit about actor and war hero Charles Durning.

Threedom 
The three hosts of Threedom coming together were described by Succotash executive producer Marc Hershon as "The Voltron" of soundcasting in his recent review of this very episode. (This Week In Comedy Podcasts, Vulture.com) After all, when you consider that Scott Aukerman, Lauren Lapkus and Paul F Tompkins abandoned their regular formats to focus on the basics of being funny with each other, it's the ultimate podcast powerplay. (Sorry to use the "p" word.) This clip features the trio discussing the  philosophy of optimistic nihilism.

Hollywood Handbook
An insider's guide to achieving your showbiz dreams, Hollywood Handbook is from two A-List it-boys who are living theirs. Hayes Davenport and Sean Clements provide an exclusive VIP backstage pass into Tinseltown politics, answer questions from unsuccessful listeners, and bring in famous guests to discuss their craft and how they became what they are — famous. We've clipped from an episode featuring their visit with Patton Oswalt from back in July, with a segment that raises the question of whether or not certain animated rodents exist in a shared universe.

How To Be a Person
Comedy writers Mike Drucker (The Tonight Show, The Onion, Marvel) and Jess Dweck (The Tonight Show, Late Night) invite fellow comedians, writers, and other interesting people to teach them how to be normal human beings. The clip we harvested is from Epi 148 from May, called "How To Reheat Pizza and Get Airline Miles". It features guest Samantha Ruddy, where they talk about Montreal's "Just For Laughs" comedy festival, being multilingual and, as advertised, how to reheat pizza.

Good One: A Podcast About Jokes
Just as titled, Good One: A Podcast About Jokes is a podcast about…well…jokes, and the people who tell them. Each week, a comedian plays one of their jokes and then break it down with host and Vulture.com Senior Editor Jesse David Fox. Nick Kroll is the guest in our clip from the recent October 8th episode, entitled "Nick Kroll's Big Mouth Shame-Filled Dirty Talk". David and Nick delves deeply into the psyche of the comic's childhood self and how it influences the aforementioned animated series Big Mouth.

Yellow, brown and orange are the colors associated with this time of year, colors also reflected in the corn, bacon and carrots that are often core components of the dish for which this program is named. 

Without succotash, this show might have been called something very  different...perhaps Hodgepodge,  Mrs. Murphy's Chowder, Everything Stew...

I'm sorry, I've just been informed that the core components for a  succotash consist of sweet corn, (ok, got THAT one correct) with lima beans...which are neither brown nor orange. I'm also being informed that tomatoes, green or sweet red peppers, and okra might be other ingredients in a succotash...

Carrots aren't listed in the Wikipedia entry for succotash - although there is a photograph that shows a succotash with carrots...and one with some kidney beans but no detectable bacon...  Oh, but apparently, according to Wikipedia, "in some parts of the American South, ANY mixture of vegetables prepared with lima beans, and topped with lard or butter is called succotash. I can see where the bacon would stand in for one's non vegan additional fat/flavor component...

AT ANY RATE…

Without succotash the show would just be called "The Comedy Soundcast Soundcast"... Except no, that's not entirely accurate either. Without the creation of this soundcast by former-host-now-Executive-Producer Marc Hershon in collaboration with Joe Paulino, Bill Heywatt, and Scott Carvey, there wouldn't be a Succotash, the Comedy Soundcast Soundcast, and I wouldn't be talking to you about it right now. There might not even be the term "soundcast" which was coined by former-host-now-Executive-Producer Marc Hershon. It's hard to imagine. It's nearly as hard to imagine as it is - for me at least - to imagine a succotash without bacon. Ahh, bacon...

ANYWAY…

So that might explain my idea of what succotash is supposed to contain...through a sort of digital morphic resonance I suppose.

Blank Check with Griffin & David
Not just another bad movie podcast, Blank Check reviews directors' complete filmographies episode to episode. Specifically, the auteurs whose early successes afforded them the rare ‘blank check’ from Hollywood to produce passion projects. Each new miniseries, hosts Griffin Newman and David Sims delve into the works of film’s most outsized personalities in painstakingly hilarious detail. We've clipped the epi entitled "Running Scared with Paul Scheer" from March 11th of this year. One of the hosts of the How Did This Get Made? soundcast, Paul picked a favorite film from his youth: 1986's underrated buddy cop movie Running Scared.

Adult Sh1t
Buzzfeed's Kelsey Darragh and Kate Peterman give their unfiltered take on life as they know it. From diva cup maintenance to maybe not going home with that guy even though he's got the whole Eminem 8 mile vibe ("wait, are you into that s**t??"). They hope you can, if not learn from their mistakes, at least laugh at them. The podcast where they f*ck up so you don't have to. The clip featured on our show is from the "Hannah Hart Talks Mental Health" episode from February earlier this year and features a bit of talk about different types of meditation with America's Sweethart, Hannah Hart, to talk about (*drumroll*) mental health!

 Jeremiah wonders...
Jeremiah wonders... is a weekly podcast where Jeremiah Watkins interviews guests with some of his favorite original characters and impressions. You never know who's going to call in! Brody Stevens is featured in the clip we have, having appeared in their episode 34 just a couple of months ago in August, and features some "Between the Bits" discussion following an improvisational phone call with "Larry Bird".

Jordan, Jesse GO! 
What is the dumbest show you can imagine? This award-winning show may be dumber. It has no content. No format. Yet it's going on ten years of delighting hundreds of thousands of people. It's been an iTunes editors choice, and Rolling Stone picked it as one of the world's best comedy podcasts. It's light in the dark, comfort in the cold and a penguin in the pants (long story). Join hosts Jesse Thorn (NPR's Bullseye) and Jordan Morris (Comedy Central's @Midnight) and a celebrity guest on a raucous, vulgar and warm-hearted romp that will probably leave you a better person. And will certainly make you dumber. Our clip is taken from their Epi548, "Deez Nuts Woof Woof" with guest Ben Blacker. From September 11, 2018, it features a selection from the "birthday party talent show" section of this soundcast's episode. (A little Succotash trivia: Ben was a guest on this soundcast WAY back in 2012, in our Epi37 with OG host Marc Hershon.)

WOMP It Up! 
Slather cream cheese all over your Digiorno and get ready to get WOMPED cause everybody's favorite intern, Marissa Wompler (Jessica St. Clair) is throwing on the cans for her brand new school project podcast Womp It Up!. Her teacher/mentor/co-host/former sniper, Charlotte Listler (Lennon Parham), will be there to DJ and divvy out love advice. Plus other special guest stars. Get a front-row seat to the madness of the Marina Del Rey lifestyle! We're snippin' a clip from their "Live from Largo w/ Jason Mantzoukas, Matt Walsh, Brian Huskey, Lauren Lapkus" show, from May 15th, 2018.

The Kevin & Bean Show on KROQ 
The soundcast of The Kevin & Bean Show is made up of bits and segments from The Kevin & Bean Show. In this episode, that includes not just guest Bert Kreischer but "What's Happening?", Afro Line, Bean Makes Us Guess, and Extreme Commuting. Are the remnants and roll-ends of terrestrial radio the stuff of soundcasts? Listen and decide for yourself.

Am I An Asshole?
Comedians @JackieViscusi & @RosieGu + a special guest dig deep w/their resident therapist to analyze their asshole tendencies. In the episode from back in the beginning of this year sub-titled "For Being A Straight White Male?" (You have to do the math yourself there, and connected the title of the show to the sub-title to get the full message, see?), Jackie, Rosie, and guest comedian Jono Zalay touch on Women's Marches. Black Lives Matter. Gay rights. Are straight white dudes just hanging out and waving their privileged dicks around or do they actually want to help? Their special guest & comedian Jono, and their therapist, Jen, try to work it all out.

Hello From The Magic Tavern
Quick background: Arnie Niekamp fell through a dimensional portal behind a Burger King into the fantastical land of Foon. He's still getting a slight WiFi signal, so he uploads a weekly podcast from the tavern the Vermilion Minotaur where he interviews wizards, monsters and adventurers. It's a major discovery! In our clip from Helo from The Magic Tavern (consistently in the Top 100 comedy soundcasts on iTunes), from way back in 2015, Arnie and his pals Chunt and Usidore meet a new guest: A common, dirty traveler named Tom. (Arnie hopes to hear what life outside of Hogface is like from someone who has traveled across Foon.)

Comedy Pop-Up Podcast 
Live from the CPU Studios in beautiful Los Angeles, this is the official soundcast of Comedy Pop-Up, normally hosted by comedian Ron G. Join them as they interview some of the top comics in the business and create another outlet for some of the best in the industry. Our clip is from Epi42 from just earlier THIS month, guest-hosted by Paul Antonio and featuring guests Brent Sullivan and Vinny Fasline.
