    03-26-2023 Chaos and Drama

Have you ever noticed some people either create chaos and drama or chaos and drama seems to follow them where ever they go? Have you also noticed that as much as they claim not to like chaos and drama, they still seem to be at the center of said chaos and drama? Red flag alert! You are dealing with someone who is disordered.

You may ask yourself, “Why? Why does this person blow up every relationship? Why does this person seem to enjoy the chaos and the drama? Why and who would want that in their lives?” Rest assured, the chaos and the drama are absolutely intentional on the part of an abuser. It serves many purposes, such as distraction so people are not focused on their wrongdoings and excitement, as many dark triads need adrenaline the way the rest of us need oxygen!

“Cluster B PDs are characterized by dramatic, overly emotional or unpredictable thinking or behavior.”

These four types of PDs share some common characteristics like impulsivity, irritability, and aggressive behavior.

What are some examples of dramatic thinking?

They believe that something is far worse or far better than it really is, often due to what you see in the movies or on TV. Considering that people will be impressed by your behavior when they aren’t really. Many adolescents struggle with this because everything seems so important at the

Histrionic personality disorder (HPD) is one of the most common personality disorders. Like many personality disorders, it is defined by patterns of thinking and behaving that differ from societal norms in various ways.

    What do histrionics focus on?

They tend to be preoccupied with physical appearance, social image, and other people’s evaluations of them.

    What can histrionics be like?

This personality type is very emotional and dramatic. They have a tendency to believe that people are always watching and judging them. While they do consider their relationships important, histrionics tend to take interpersonal interactions less seriously than others might feel appropriate. Histrionics also tend to have a hard time calming down once they’ve become upset. Histrionic personality disorder (HPD) is one of the most common personality disorders, and, like many personality disorders, it is defined by patterns of thinking and behaving that differ from societal norms in a variety of ways.

Narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) is defined by patterns of thinking and behaving that differ from societal norms in various ways, including problems with self-concept. What does this mean? It means that people who have NPD tend to think very highly of themselves and prefer to be the center of attention. They also have a tendency to put other people down. This can be especially difficult because the people they are putting down may not realize it, as narcissists have a tendency to exaggerate their accomplishments and take credit for success even when they don’t deserve it.

    053 — Overneath

    053 — Overneath

Hey everyone. Here’s some downtempo drama for you; hope you enjoy it. I thought maybe it might be a bit distracting for conelcast but oddly it isn’t; it helped me a lot while working from home this week (yes, I road-test conelcast eps regularly!). I also realised it’s conelcast’s second birthday! Which had slipped by me, because, well, things are very odd right now and there’s a lot on my mind, as I’m sure is the case with everyone. Anyway, stay safe, and, if you can, stay inside.

Thanks so much for listening and don’t forget to follow me on twitter @conelraduk and subscribe, if you haven’t already, to the Patreon, for higher quality versions of the tracks! Just three bucks US for 2 tracks a month!! There’s extra stuff there too!

There are other ways, including free ways, that you can help too — please see below!

    Bandcamp

I have about six albums of music at conelrad.bandcamp.com. They’re mostly shorter tracks, but these are the albums that inspired conelcast (because people told me that they listened to them while working)/

You can pay whatever you like for them. Some people have done this already (thank you so much).

    Free ways to support!!!!!

If you know artists, coders, creatives or open-plan office workers of any kind who could be interested, do let them know about conelcast. Also, if you know of anywhere I could recommend the podcast — popular blogs/sites for artists and other creatives, for instance — do let me know. You can email me at conelrad@munchhouse.com or get me on Twitter at conelraduk.

You can join the conelrad mailing list here. That’s the best way to keep updated with conelcast and other conelrad projects.
