[BONUS] Holiday Baking SNAFUs with ATK's Elle Simone Scott

For the past 10 years, the Food52 Editors have been answering the community's questions on the Food52 Hotline. We've debated the very best way to cut an onion, whether garlic pressing is sacrilegious, and compared notes on how to get the crispiest chicken skin. And now, we're taking those questions to the airwaves! Hosted by chef and restaurateur Esther Choi, Hotline Offline will leave you with a better understanding of how and why recipes and chefs say what they do (and empower you to abandon those rules completely!). On this episode: ATK's Elle Simone Scott joins Esther to tackle your questions all about holiday baking.

Got a question? Call ‪(518) 291-9877‬ and leave us a message on the hotline, and be sure to follow Hotline Offline so no question goes unanswered and no answer unheard.

Bonus! Keto for the Holidays with Carrie Brown

After hearing some of her Rockstars say that they did not see the point of celebrating Thanksgiving and the holidays this year, Carrie Brown Decided to come on the show to encourage more holiday enthusiasm with the listeners, and to offer some guidance on how to do the holidays while staying Keto!

It has been a tough year for many people, and some folks are becoming disheartened by the fact that their holiday celebrations may not include everyone they had hoped, the regular visitors of friends and family that are part of their traditional celebrations.

To this, Carrie says ,"Nay, Nay!"  It is more important than ever to celebrate, to give thanks and to spend time with the loved ones that you can spend time with, even if it is virtually through apps like Zoom.  With all the difficulties of the year, celebrating is a chance to uplift moral, to reflect on the positives and a chance to give and receive some joy.  Celebrating the positives, enjoying the holidays and creating some great memories can help raise beleaguered spirits and help create positive mindsets going into the new year.

Many people are also. struggling this year with health.  Struggling to stay on track with their nutrition and some have already gone a bit off the rails because of the stressors of the year.  Carrie offers up some tips, tricks and resources to help people stay on track or jump back on the wagon for the holidays when it comes to living a healthy nutritional lifestyle!
