Colossians 2:8-15 (Week 9 - Jesus Plus Nothing Series)
We are often tempted to follow a "Jesus plus" gospel rather than trust in the sufficiency of Christ. In this section of Colossians, Paul teaches us that are complete in Christ and not lacking in any way. We need not depend on hollow and deceptive philosophies that depend on human traditions and the elemental spiritual forces of this world.
Colossians 2:8-10... 8 See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ. 9 For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, 10 and in Christ you have been brought to fullness.
