Keep Nurturing Your Idea | Claire Landuyt, Owner of Chez Lapin

Keep Nurturing Your Idea | Claire Landuyt, Owner of Chez Lapin

During our conversation, Claire told the story of how she transitioned from theatre management to working for herself full time. She described how Chez Lapin evolved from a home-based Etsy shop to an established business with a full-fledged production facility.

Claire’s focus on eco-friendly and cruelty-free products is clearly an important part of her mission. Over the years, she has donated her time and a percentage of profits to several different rabbit rescue organizations. “Chez Lapin” is French for rabbit house, and the choice of name was inspired by Claire’s love for rabbits and French culture. I even got to meet her newly adopted companion and shop mascot, Tipsy, a cute little lionhead rabbit. Enjoy this episode!

Natural Home Scents: Navigating the Transition EP23

I'm excited to share this discussion I had with Allison Preiss of The Infused Life.

Years ago, Allison opened my eyes to the harmful effects of some of the products that I was using in my home, and she helped me find natural alternatives. In this episode, Allison shares how to easily replace these harmful chemicals with non-toxic substitutes and she also shares my favorite hand soap recipe! It's quick, easy, and fun to make!

Scent Sells: How To Sniff Targeted Ads

Scent Sells: How To Sniff Targeted Ads

So you thought targeted ads would stop at just your eyes and your ears? No, they're coming for your nose as well — in fact, they've been  there and you may or may not have even been aware of it. Some such companies like our guests for this episode, Air Aroma, are responsible for curating the olfactive vibes  in any kind of space, from hotel lobbies to fancy stores, homes of the rich and famous, car dealerships, cruise ships, airline lounges, and even medical offices. In this episode, we discuss scent marketing and just how effective an odor can be for experiential value, emotional manipulation (in a good way), as well as capitalist agendas.

    Boy Smell(s) Ya Later
You mean to tell me a boy made this smell?? Matthew Herman, the co-founder of everyone’s favorite candle brand, Boy Smells, joins us to talk about creating the candle brand with his partner David, pivoting from fashion to fragrance (and underwear), what happens when Kacey Musgraves slides into your DMs (the Slow Burn collaboration, that's what) and why a “genderful” lifestyle is so much more enriching than genderless.
