She has worked at the FBI and in Homeland Security's ICE as a Spanish speaker to help the immigration process. 

Leah's positive campaign on issues is a model to be studied by other candidates. We discussed her background, employment experience, her campaign and the future.

Acabo de encontrar esta grabación que creía perdida en la que hablo sobre Homeland y mi indignación con los guionistas de la serie. En este momento había terminado de ver la tercera temporada y la trama Carrie-Brody llegaba a su final.

Un final con el que no estaba de acuerdo, y aunque ahora lo comprendo, creo que a partir de este punto la serie pierde su interés, su tensión y un elenco de personajes bastante jugoso (incluyendo al propio Brody). La cuarta temporada es para olvidar excepto un par de detalles y la quinta recupera el ritmo y deja un final emocionante y abierto.

Con mi subjetividad característica, doy vueltas a mi indignación en este podcast lleno de imprecisiones, dudas y caracter 100% amateur. Prometo mejorar!! Paciencia!! 😅😉👍🏻... y os insto a que me digáis lo que opináis vosotros a través de los medios de contacto habituales:

Leslie is joined by Allan Wernick, a professor and a widely-noted authority on citizenship and immigration law.

They discuss conservative lawmakers urging Speaker John Boehner not to back down in a fight with Democrats (over President Obama's immigration policy) that threatens a partial Homeland Security shutdown. They also talk about how, in the Senate, Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has agreed to separate measures against President Obama's immigration actions from Homeland Security funding. The Senate would then debate the issues separately, and avoid a Homeland Security shutdown. It remains to be seen if the House will follow suit.

Leslie and callers discuss how last week's Terror attacks add heat to the GOP's intraparty battle to fund Homeland Security.
